Full description
Meet your guide in Plaza del Triunfo and head to the first stop, the Alcázar of Seville. After using the priority entrance to enter the palace, begin your guided tour. Hear about how Moorish and Christian styles were mixed together to create a palace that was emblematic of Mudéjar architecture. Discover the Patio de las Doncellas and grand Ambassadors’ Salón, both featured in Game of Thrones. Admire the intricate carved detailing and colorful Islamic-style tiling. Then stroll around the gardens filled with orange trees and peaceful water features.  Next, head to the Cathedral of Seville. On your guided tour, learn about the Cathedral’s important role in the city’s history, and the Islamic, late Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque influences in the architecture.  Marvel at the magnificent 18th-century baroque altarpiece, and the elaborate organ. You can also visit the mausoleum where the remains of Christopher Columbus are laid to rest.  Finally, your guide will lead you to the Moorish Giralda Tower. The call to prayer was announced from this tower when Spain was under Muslim rule. Climb the stairs and admire the spectacular views of Seville from the top of the tower.  Choose from either a small-group or private tour to suit the experience you're looking for.

We had a great visit to the Alcazar of Seville as well as the cathedral. Our guide Gyslaine is passionate and she knew how to captivate us throughout this tour of about 2h30. She is very invested and made this visit very dynamic and pleasant. The monuments and architecture are amazing. Thanks a lot! The visit to the giralda at the end of the tour was great although quite crowded as we were out of season. But very good!

Please, if you tell us to meet the guide in a crowded place, and you say look for the guide wearing red GYG clothing and displaying a red GYG flag, please provide these to your guides. It was very stressful trying to find the guide because she didn’t have these red items.

We visited the Alcazar, the Cathedrl and the Giralda in Sevilla on Friday 14 October 2022 at 1 pm. We were in a group of French speaking tourists, our guide Ghislana (not entirely sure of the spelling of her name) spoke excellent French. She was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. She had obviously done a lot of research and was able to share her knowledge in a convivial manner and with quite a bit of humour. We cannot praise her enough, the 3 hours we spent in her company seemed to last no time at all. We were very impressed.
