Once on the other side, benefit either from a roughly 1-hour complimentary guided tour of Krka, or the freedom to explore on your own. Either way, enjoy extra time after the optional guided tour to explore. Whether it’s of flowing waterfalls at Skrandinski Buk, historical flour mills, or wood trails, snap some photo opportunities of the unbelievable scenic views in front of you. If you are traveling during the high season (June-September), board a bus to the postcard-worthy, medieval town of Primošten. Enjoy a couple of hours to discover picturesque beaches, swim, eat, take a scenic stroll, or taste wine at vineyards waiting to be enlisted as UNESCO World Heritage sites. During the low season, when the weather is too cold for swimming, visit the picturesque city of Šibenik, famous for its impressive historical fortresses and known as a gateway to the National Park Kornati. Finish off the day with a transfer back to Split in time for the early evening.

First, stop at Mana, one of the many islands in the Kornati archipelago. Marvel at views of the cliffs from the sea, a wild beach, and clear water. Continue your journey through the archipelago by visiting the next island, Levrnaka. On Levrnaka sits Lojena Beach, the only real natural sandy beach on the Kornati islands. The boat will leave you on the northeastern side of the island, next to a restaurant in case you would like to have some coffee or food. Lojena Beach is within walking distance of the restaurant. Next, marvel at the cliffs of Dugi island before getting to Kapri island where you will have a break for lunch. Relax and enjoy fresh local food served right next to the sea in a local konoba serving fresh, Dalmatian food. Finally, visit Zlarin. Due to its geographical position, the island is seen as St. Anthony Channel’s gatekeeper and the guardian of Šibenik. Use your free time to enjoy the pebble beaches with sand under your feet as soon as you enter the sea. Just before sunset, head back to the starting point of the tour.

Your speedboat tour departs from the pier in front of the D-Resort hotel in Sibenik. At first, you will take a cruise through the Sibenik channel and see all its famous landmarks such as military bunkers, a sea tunnel called Hitler’s Eyes, and St Nicholas’ fortress.  Then, on the journey to Kornati, you will pass by Bavljenac, a small island famous for its stone walls that look like a giant fingerprint from above. After an hour you will enter the outer parts of Kornati National Park. This part of the archipelago is famous for its steep rock faces emerging from the sea. The first stop is on the island of Mana where you will have the opportunity to swim, snorkel, cliff dive or admire the views of its famous ruins.  After that, you'll visit the Lojena lagoon for swimming and snorkelling, followed by a lunch break at a tavern on the island of Levrnaka.  On the way back you will explore the inner part of Kornati archipelago, passing famous landmarks such as Tarac fortress. The last stopover is at Prvic Luka, where you can sip a coffee, eat some ice cream or just walk around. You will then be dropped off back at the initial meeting point.

If you have a couple of days in the Split and Trogir area, this could be the trip that you are looking for. Krka National Park is one of two Croatian National Parks that contain lakes and waterfalls. You will be taken to 2 locations of exceptional natural value inside the National Park with an included boat ride down the river canyon. Meet in Split or Trogir and take a drive to Entrance Lozovac as this is the best place to start the 2-km walk around the Skradinski Buk waterfall. Pass through the old water mill system as your guide explains part of the history and traditions in this area. Then continue this fantastic walk on the wooden pathway with little lakes and waterfalls everywhere. This truly is one of the most preserved ecosystems in Croatia. Continue your journey with a boat ride down the river canyon to your second location inside the National Park, the lovely little town of Skradin. In this lower part of the stream, you will have an opportunity to cool down during the hot summer days with a nice swim in Skradin. And last but not least, a special surprise for those who love local food and wine. Only a 10-minute drive from our swimming spot, we have a little village called Plastovo, known for a few beautiful local family foods and wine stops. Next, enjoy wine tasting, learn about its production and history, and taste some of the family's local specialties. A total of 5-hour inside the Krka National Park at two locations with exceptional views and scenery, a boat ride, swimming inside of Skradin, and an extra visit to local family food and wine tavern. A relaxing day outside of the city that everyone will enjoy. Finish our day with a drive on the highway back to Trogir and Split.

Straight forward finding the tour in the morning & everything was explained well. Coach was comfy & air conditioned. The stop off on the way back to Split was a real highlight - well worth the money!

A great activity for those in Split that want to visit Krka National Park. Transport from the bus station to the National park and back was provided. Very friendly tour guide!
