Notable rules at Maya Bay include no swimming, no single-use plastics, using reef-safe sunscreen and no use of drones without permission. Please remember that the Maya Bay will be closed every year for 2 months during low season, usually in August and September. In the afternoon you will have to chance to swim and snorkel at Bamboo Island, a tiny and flat island covered by lush vegetation and entirely surrounded by a strip of white sand and a reef that spreads up to 500 meters from the shore. The uninhabited paradise located 3 miles (5 km) off the northern tip of Koh Phi Phi Don provides visitors with the feeling of swimming in an aquarium.

The next stop is at Aow Luek which is named for its deep, concave shape as well as the depth of the water which makes it good for snorkeling even at very low tide. Expect a stunning scenery with white sandy beach and water varying shades of blue, and Shark Island in the background. Before returning to the pier, make a stop at Shark Bay where you can swim alongside the many blacktip reef sharks or the sea turtles that come there each day.
