    On this tour, you will explore St. Lucia Estuary, which is a part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, and it is South Africa's first World Heritage Site. Board the vessel, find a seat on either deck, grab your camera and get ready to set off on your cruise. Your captain will give a safety briefing and introduction, then you will be on your way, traveling slowly up river about 7 kilometers north of St. Lucia.  Cruise along the mangrove-rich shores of the estuary, as your captain points out various wildlife and tells you about the local ecosystem. When there is a sighting of a pod of Hippos or some Nile Crocodiles basking in the sun, the boat will cruise closer, and slower and allow everyone to take photographs.     The tour was informative and enjoyable, a wonderful experience. Our guide was excellent and had a good sense of humour. Abundant bird life, crocodile and lots of hippos (we saw hippos for the first time out of water). Booked the last tour of the day and enjoyed the amazing sunset on the way back.

    What a wonderful way to experience KZN's oldest game reserve. We did the full day safari with started punctually with a 5am pick up from our BNB and included a healthy breakfast and braai for lunch. The guide, John was exceptionally knowledgeable and by lunchtime we had seen a large number of rhino, elephant, lion and buffalo as well as kudu, impala, giraffe, zebra and warthog.

Follow the GPS directions , don’t get it confused with the first jetty as you enter st Lucia
