Mauritz, our driver/guide for the day picked us upon time and was very friendly and very knowledgeable. Not only about the wine areas but also about lots of the South African social and political history. He listened to our wine likes and dislikes (my wife only drinks white wine while I prefer red) and chose the wineries to visit with this in mind. He gave us good information on the areas we visited and also arranged the tastings so that both Ann and myself were fully satisfied with the types of wine available. The timings of the visits, tastings and lunch stop was well judged and made the day very relaxing. I would strongly recommend Mauritz as an English or German speaking guide for a day in the Winelands.
