Stockholm Highlights: 2-Hour Segway Tour

2. Stockholm Highlights: 2-Hour Segway Tour

Ride through the maze of streets of Stockholm’s Old Town to the Royal Castle on this 2-hour Segway tour. Join a shared or private tour, according to your preferences. Start by gliding effortlessly on your personal transporter to the small inner islets of Skeppsholmen and Kastellholmen. As your tour continues you’ll ride past the Royal Theater, Opera and Parliament. On the return ride you’ll get up close to Stockholm’s City Hall. The Royal Palace is one of the largest residential palaces in the world, and the official home of the royal family lives. It is located on the spot where Stockholm was founded. Development of the complex began in 1252, when a watchtower was built to protect Lake Mälaren. Later, walls and other towers were added, and the site eventually became a royal palace, known as the 3 Crowns. Stockholm’s inner city comprises 14 islands. In the greater archipelago there are around 30,000 islands, although only about 200 are populated. You’ll cross bridges linking some of these islands during the tour.

Stockholm: Djurgården Segway Tour

3. Stockholm: Djurgården Segway Tour

Meet your guide and after a brief safety lesson and a practice go, strap on your helmet, step on your Segway, and prepare to zoom around this royal island.  With your feet steady on the Segway and the wind blowing in your hair, stop to hear tales about the Royal National City Park, the many museums on the island, the history of the Swedes and their way of life. On the western side of the island, see some of the city's most popular attractions including The Vasa Museum, the Gröna Lund amusement park, and the open-air museum of Skansen. As you travel further eastward on the island, leave the paved city lanes behind and roll along the quiet dirt paths, getting closer to nature. We took part in the first Segway tour of the season and it was an incredible activity. Our tour guide Gina was really nice, showed us around the city giving fun facts and interesting pieces of information about the history of the city and the country + conducted us around the main islands of the city in an easy and relaxed way.

It was the best choice! Many attracions were still closed, so I was very happy that we could attend this trip. Joel(I hope I wrote his name correctly) was very patient and he was wonderful Guide. Thank you! Next time it's our main point in Stockholm

Even as habitants of Stockholm we learned something new and discovered some new quarters not known to us, during the tour.

Very happy with the whole experience. I highly recommend to do this trip when you visit Stockholm

it was just great with Jule aus Guide. Thanks a lot!
