  • Stay dry thanks to your dry suit

Full description
Your adventure begins at Skärgårdens Kanotcenter, where you’ll meet your guide and take part in a safety briefing. Your guide will help you to make some adjustments to the kayak if needed, and will also discuss the route. Once you’re familiar with the basic paddling and safety techniques, it's time to hop into your sea kayak to explore the winter archipelago from the perspective of the water. Follow your guide as you explore the beauty of Vaxholm and admire typical Swedish architecture. With its famous fortress that was used to defend Stockholm and traditional fishing cottages in the harbor, it's the perfect place to get the full archipelago experience. On the other side you'll find one of Stockholm's largest nature reserves. Whilst kayaking and exploring the islands from the water, listen to local stories about the area, which was once home to Vikings over 1,000 years ago. Soak up the scenic winter views and feel immersed in the tranquility, despite being just 30-minutes from Stockholm. At the end of an unforgettable experience, it’s time to begin the journey back to the starting point, admiring the last of the views along the way before warming up over a cup of coffee.

It was great. Arrived and received a very welcome greeting followed by debrief and preparation. After that we were literally kayaking for just over 2hr 30mins mins within the semi frozen water. Kayaking passed scenic islands. It was great fun, something a little different and would highly recommend it.

It's our first time in Sweden and this activity is a MUST. We're expecting to flip because this is also the first time we tried kayaking and paddling is a challenge but we survived! Whoo. The activity was for around 3 hrs and it's exciting because we kayaked around islands while Theresa shared some fun facts, went through a narrow passage, broke ice along the way (because some parts of the water are frozen and we needed to break them to make our way), did some bird watching (there are lots of ducks and swans). And at the end of our trip we had our Fika :) the coffee tastes different, like a berry and something that I really enjoyed. Random suggestion, this is because most of the time we're behind the group, we couldn't hear her clearly, it might be good if there is a mic or some sort of technology to keep everyone in sync. Tip: Wear at least 2 layers of thermal/warm clothing both for shirt, pants, and socks if you're doing this on winter. And when you get comfortable, take the risk

Absolutely brilliant day! Really enjoyed our experience, it was definitely the highlight of our holiday. The guides were fantastic at explaining everything we needed to do, water safety (no-one wanted to fall in at 1 degree) and helpful tips to make the kayaking easier. So much fun and my boyfriend did not want to get out of the kayak!
