    Climb aboard this iconic 4-person gondola cabin with large windows and relax. During the 8-minute ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, take in the views of the town of Banff, Bow Valley, and six different mountain ranges. While on the mountain's peak, be amazed by 360-degree views.

    Explore the interactive Above Banff Interpretative Center to learn about the early explorers, wildlife, and local area. Hike across the Sulphur Mountain boardwalk to explore the Sulphur Mountain Cosmic Ray Station, a National Historic Site. Then stop at the coffee shops, restaurants, and gift shops.

    The Banff Gondola is located at the base of Sulphur Mountain at the end of Mountain Avenue, 10 minutes drive from Banff. The Banff Gondola is serviced year-round by Bow Valley ROAM Transit Services. Buses run regularly, with stops along Banff Avenue (cost $2/ride per adult)

    The gondola ride was great but once you get to the top there are lots to do. The roof top view, the restaurants, theatre, and of course the views! Don’t let the look of the the walk discourage you, there are lots of spots to rest along the way and enjoy yet another amazing view !

    If your going there its a must see/ do!!! take the walk out to samson peak, its a board walk in the sky, spectacular 360 view. for those that dislike hights face the moutin!! if you like hieghts face the other way its breath taking. Public transit is VERY VERY clean and its the only thing thats cheap out there.

    Stunning views on the way up and at the top. Loved the boardwalk climb up Sanson Peak. The entire staff at the gondola and the cafe were incredibly friendly. After you get your voucher, you still have to wait in line for a paper ticket, which is silly. A little pricey for such a short ride, but it was an amazing experience.
