Depart from the pier in Tadoussac or Baie-Sainte-Catherine and head out on an observation boat on a tour of the marine ecosystem in Quebec's Saguenay-St-Lawrence Marine Park. Embark on a 3-hour whale-watching trip, and observe geological formations like the Saguenay Fjord. As you sail along the waters of this marine reserve aboard the Grand Fleuve, keep your eyes peeled for whales. The area is best known for its colony of belugas, but you can also sometimes spot blue whales, minke whales, and fin whales. Continue your adventure with a visit to the magnificent Saguenay Fjord. This inlet is 65 miles long and sometimes as wide as 2.5 miles. The fjord is also in Saguenay Fjord National Park, sometimes overlapping with Saguenay-St-Lawrence Marine Park. You will be amazed by the wonder of marine life and geological formations as you cruise the waters on this relaxing and informative tour.

An excellent well organized activity. There were plenty of whales to see and the guide was quick to point out the marine life. The boat was clean and the staff were friendly and courteous. We throughly enjoyed the trip and would recommend it. Note, we dressed warmly and were fine. Hat and gloves is a must if you like to be outside on deck. Overall wonderful experience.

This was our first time whale watching and we had such a good time! Saw so many whales! We were impressed that the captain would sail to where the whales were if we saw spouts off in the water. There were no open restaurants in Baie St. Catherine so if you get there early there isn’t really anything to do. We were told Toudessac has more to do but we ended up hanging out at the look out point a short way past our pick up point. We would definitely recommend this tour!

This time, we saw many belugas and minkes, and one large finback which swam very close to the boat. It was an overcast day with alot of mist. We saw many more whales, including a large number of humpbacks, fins, and belugas during our cruise at the beginning of August than we did this time.
