Tarragona: Roman Heritage Guided Walking Tour

1. Tarragona: Roman Heritage Guided Walking Tour

Enjoy a tour of the main Roman monuments of Tarragona with an official city guide. First you will be introduced to the Roman history of the region next to the city walls, which are the oldest Roman walls outside Italy. Learn why they chose this hill next to the Mediterranean as the gateway to Rome for the whole peninsula. Visit the historic center of Tarragona, where Roman monuments are intertwined with today's houses, streets and squares. With the help of the large city model, the guide will describe how the city used to look, and explain the functions of its buildings. Finally, after watching an audiovisual exhibit with 3D images you will head to the Amphitheater, located by the sea. Learn about the gladiator fights and beast hunting that took place here in ancient times, and review the amazing history of the stadium to this day.

Hi, I booked this tour in Castilian last minute. I was pleasantly surprised by the preparation of the girl who accompanied us on the journey. This girl is called "Giorgia", a tour guide from Tarragona who also knows the Italian language. Therefore, I was able to ask you for information in my language. The tour was spectacular, told with precision and sympathy. Caterina and Francesca

The tour is very good, because it is the most important thing to see and I have to thank our guide Georgina for the passion with which she explains things and her knowledge, it is a pleasure to listen to her and see that she explains things with great passion and great pleasure. ten for her

The walking tour of the Roman heritage in Tarragona is an enriching experience, we had a very pleasant sunny spring morning. The guide Mrs. Carmen a ten in Experience and friendliness. We visited on Saturday April 16, 2022.

We were too big a group, although the guide explained why and apologized. Also the time dedicated to the circus is too little compared to the rest of the visit.

Very interesting and the explanations take us to the past while being in the present.
