Full description
Begin the day at 9:00 AM to venture out to southern Georgia, where the Vardzia cave complex, Rabati Castle and Borjomi resort await your discovery. Vardzia, your first stop, is a cave complex that was excavated from the slopes of the Erusheti Mountain in the 12th century. Pass through narrow canyons at Aspindza along a particularly beautiful valley to find Vardzia. A place with royal history, see the monastery with its Assumption temple and the ancient paintings of the King and Queen of the time. Other intriguing features of the complex include the bell tower, chapels, pharmacy, and wine cellars.  The trip continues to Rabati Castle, a medieval castle complex of Asian style in Akhaltsikhe. Built in the 13th century, Rabati castle developed under the influence of different cultures over subsequent centuries and this is reflected in its architecture; the modern section including a restaurant, hotel, cafes, and shops while the ancient includes the Ahmediyeh Mosque, the church, the family castle of Jakeli, and the historical museum. Borjomi, the last destination, is a hydro-thermal health spa resort in the southern region of Samtskhe-Javakheti. Borjomi has an international reputation for its geothermal spring mineral water resources. Enjoy walking in Borjomi Central Park and taste the award-winning local mineral water said to have unique healing qualities. Explore the open-air sulfur water swimming pool, before returning to Tbilisi.

This was an excellent tour. Alex (our guide) was awesome. The tour was highly organised and their team is very punctual. We had booked the tour at 11pm for the next day. They open at 8am and they provided us all info as soon as they opened and organised our pickups. Beautiful views in Vardzia and Borjomi. Its a long tour with lot of walking but worth it. And Alex will provide you ton of Georgian history and cultural info. Highly recommend this for Nature and History lovers

Nika was so kind and funny, and both guides did a great job getting us and keeping us engaged and upbeat. I also would have liked on the way back to Tblisi to not always have to stay so upbeat though, and just allow us to chill out. The bus ride was long and very hard to stomach!!

The tour was great, we got to see the most beautiful places on the way and in the sites themselves, unfortunately due to the curfew in Georgia we had to shorten our visits in some of the places. On the trip were only the 2 of us + guide and a driver, so it was actually like a private tour :) The ride to Vardzia is quite long (about 3 hours) but totally worth it! It's an incredible place. Borjomi is a beautiful town with an amazing park, could have spend a whole day in there.. The guide Lasha was very friendly and nice and had a lot of knowledge of the history of Georgia.
