David Gareji Monastery Complex is one of the most spiritual places in the country. You will hear the stories of the monastery, do a bit of hiking and see a Georgian soldier at the border of Georgia and Azerbaijan. It’s believed that St. David chose this isolated location because he wanted his Disciples to lead a life of holiness independent from the rest of society. After David Gareji Lavra, you will return to Tbilisi and finish the tour at 5 pm.

Explore the rainbow mountains of Eastern Georgia on this guided 4-wheel drive safari tour. Feel like Indiana Jones as you speed through the colorful mountains and visit the David Gareja Lavra monastery complex, as well as the St. John the Baptist cave monastery. Departing from Tbilisi, start your journey with a low-difficulty 1-hour walk among the colorful hills around the Mravaltskaro lake. This is one of the best places in Georgia for bird watching, and specialists from all over the world come here during the season. If you don't want to hike, you can just enjoy the beauty of the area and snap some great photos.  Next, head to the monastery of St. John the Baptist, a cave monastery founded in the 6th century in the desert. Get acquainted with the lives of the monks who live here and visit the church and tower which are built in the cave. You can even see the border with Azerbaijan from the tower.  Finally, head to the first monastery in the desert, David Gareja Lavra. Depart from Tbilisi on a full-day tour where you will hike through the Caucasus Mountain Range and into the picturesque Jutra Village, stopping at the Dariali Gorge and Gveleti Waterfall along the way. Start your journey at The Rooms Hotel in Kazbegi. During this stop, get an opportunity to eat, have coffee, and relax for an hour. The Rooms Kazbegi’s stylish restaurant is decorated with wooden furnishings and serves international cuisine.  Have a drink in the lobby bar, while meals can be enjoyed on the terrace with a spectacular view over Mount Kazbegi and the Gergeti Trinity Church as well as the surrounding forests and woodlands. Continue along the Georgian Military Highway and see the road’s unique sights before a visit to Dariali Gorge. Discover the two hidden waterfalls here and admire the rivers below them. Next, head over to the Gveleti village, located in Kazbegi, and begin a 1 km hike so you can see the scenic views of the Caucasus. Arrive at the Gveleti Waterfall, which can be translated as "the Snake’s Waterfall”, and be amazed by the breathtaking views of one of the most splendid waterfalls in Georgia.  Afterward, visit the village of Juta, located 2,200 m high above sea level. With only 18 locals surrounded by alpine area, it's a great place to escape civilization. The village is situated on the main hill of the Caucasus mountain range at the source of the river Bakurkhevi.  Lastly, enjoy unforgettable views from Fifth Season Hostel. It's a peaceful place where you can grab a drink and take in the stunning landscape of the multiple mountain Chaukhi peaks. In the morning, the guide and driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Tbilisi (if you choose the private option). Then, head to the desert where the main complex David Gareja lavra is located via the Kakhetian highway. The complex was established in the 6th century AD by one of the 13 Assyrian monks and expanded through the centuries. Here, have a tour of the rainbow mountains and monastery. On your way to Sighnaghi, you’ll visit the Bodbe monastery. The monastery is one of the major pilgrimage sites in Georgia, due to its association with St. Nino, the 4th-century female evangelist in Georgia. In Sighnaghi, a small town surrounded by 18th-century defensive walls and remnants of fortifications, take a relaxing walk in the town, explore the defensive wall and fortifications, and enjoy the views of Alazani Valley. In the evening, drive back to your place of stay or Europe Square in Tbilisi.

Start your tour after breakfast from your hotel in Tbilisi. During the tour, you will visit the ancient capital of Georgia – Mtskheta. Here you will see wonderful UNESCO heritage monuments. the first being Jvari Monastery from the 7th-century, where the beautiful view on the confluence of two rivers Mtkvari and Aragvi can be seen from. Then go to the Svetisckhoveli Cathedral from the 11th-century – the architectural masterpiece of Georgian Renaissance. Then drive to Borjomi, which is situated in the central part of Georgia. The city is well-known for its mineral waters. You can taste natural mineral waters from the spring in the central park of Borjomi. After Borjomi Park, you will visit the beautiful forest of pine, hornbeam, and beech in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. Explore one of the easiest trekking routes – “National Park Information Tail”. The route starts from the administration building. After an initial hard ascent, the trail straightens out allowing for an easy trek that takes about 1.5 hours to complete.

Day 1: Tbilisi to Mazeri Start the day with a drive to Svaneti. On the way, stop at Enguri Dam, which is one of the highest arch dams in the world. Afterward, continue to the region of Upper Svaneti where you can admire exceptional mountain landscapes composed of well-preserved villages with unique defensive tower houses, examples of ecclesiastical architecture and medieval arts. Day 2: Mazeri to Ushba Waterfalls  In the morning, begin your hike from the village of Mazeri, following the Dolra River upstream. Pass by mineral water springs, a small church, and beautiful meadows. Then, ascend slowly through beautiful pine forests until you reach the border post from where your last ascent starts. Afterward, return to Mazeri, where you will spend the night. (difficulty: moderate, walking distance: 14 kilometers, duration: 5 hours) Day 3: Mazeri to Mestia  Start the day with another spectacular hike to Koruldi Lakes through the Guli Pass. After taking on the challenge of the Guli Pass, descend into another valley where you will reach the Koruldi Lakes. Relax here and take in the spectacular alpine views before continuing to Mestia for the night.  (difficulty: hard, walking distance: 16 kilometers, duration: 8 hours) Day 4: Mestia to Zhabeshi  Today, hike to the village of Zhabeshi, where you will meet the Mulakhi community. Today's route is easy and follows an off-road and well-marked trail. Spend the night at a guesthouse in Zhabeshi with shared facilities. (difficulty: moderate, walking distance: 16 kilometers, duration: 6 hours) Day 5: Zhabeshi to Adishi  Enjoy a hike up the slopes of Tetnuldi mountain, passing ski resorts and forests of birch trees and rhododendron bushes. After passing an alpine river, relax in the picturesque mountainous meadows of Adishi, where you will find ancient stone houses. (difficulty: moderate, walking distance: 10 kilometers, duration: 6 hours) Day 6: Adishi to Iprali  Rise early and cross a roaring Adishi river to climb up to the Chkhunderi pass. From here, admire majestic panoramic views of the picturesque Adishi Glacier. Afterward, hike to the villages of Khalde and Iprali, where you will spend the night. (difficulty: hard, walking distance: 17 kilometers, duration: 8 hours) Day 7: Iprali to Mestia  In the morning, trek through traditional Svani villages. After passing by the villages of Kala and Davberi, trek through forests to reach Ushguli from above. (difficulty: moderate, walking distance: 10 kilometers, duration: 5 hours) Day 8: Mestia to Tbilisi  After breakfast, begin the journey back to Tbilisi, stopping at the Chalaadi glacier along the way as you follow the Mestiachala river upstream. (difficulty: easy, walking distance: 5 kilometers, duration: 3 hours)

Tsalka Canyon (formerly Dashbashi Canyon) in Georgia is a deep mountain gorge situated abt 100 km away from Tbilisi. it is one of the most impressive natural monuments of Georgia with its origin, volcanogenic rocks, impressive diamond bridge, ever green trees and the panoramic surrounding. The canyon has been opened in 2021 and promises diversity of exploration and adventure in a scenic atmosphere. The main highlight of the Canyon is its spectacular cluster of cascading waterfalls downside and is perfect choice for travelers who love walking and hiking in the nature!

9:00 Pick up from the hotel. Drive to the north through the Georgian Military Highway towards the Greater Caucasus mountains. The first stop on the way to Khevi province is a medieval architectural complex of Ananuri Duke's residence, which is located on the right bank of Zhinvali Reservoir. Built in the 16-17th cc., complex integrates upper and lower forts, three churches and residential buildings of local feudal family of Aragvi Eristavi. Excursion will take about 30 minutes. Continue driving to the north, and eventually get to town Stepantsminda (Kazbegi), passing through the ski resort Gudauri (2196 m) and Jvari Pass (2379 m). Located at an elevation of 1740 meters, Stepantsminda is the administrative center of Khevi province, Kazbegi municipality. Walk to the Mount Gergeti, overlooking the town. Visit Gergeti Trinity Church of 14th c, which is located on top of the mountain, and under the Caucasus pick Kazbegi (5054 m), one of the highest peaks in Georgia. If the weather is clear, fantastic views are rewarding. Take another, shorter walk to the Gveleti waterfall, located between the high cliffs on the way to Dariali Gorge. After Gveleti continue the trip to the Dariali Gorge near the Georgia-Russia border. The Gorge has been created by the roaring flow of the river Tergi between the high mountains of the Greater Caucasus. The length of the gorge is approximately 13 km, and can be as deep as 1,800 meters in some places. In the evening leave Khevi, and return back to Tbilisi.

Enjoy a day trip to the most scenic sight of central and southern Georgia. After the pick-up from your hotel at 9:00AM, you will soon reach the ancient cave town of Uplistsikhe. Here you can walk through the ruins and beautiful rock formations and see the remains of formal ancient glory of what used to be once the center of Pagan culture. Right next to Uplistsikhe lies Gori, the town known as the birthplace of Stalin, where you can still see the house where he grew up. After about 1.5 hours, you will reach the cozy resort town of Borjomi, surrounded by the largest national park of Georgia. You can wander through the beautiful central park, taste the legendary mineral water of Borjomi directly from the springs and take a bath in the open air thermal pools in the middle of the forest. You can reach the pools by hiking through the forest or taking a ride with a local car operating this route (at own expense). Enjoy a day in nature and historical sights.
