Full description
Your tour will begin at 9:00 AM, from Avlabari metro station. At 9:45 AM, you will visit Jinvali, the largest reservoir of eastern Georgia. Following this you will visit the fortress of Ananuri, which is one of the best monuments of late feudal Georgia. Although there are not so few monuments like this on the territory of the country, it is Ananuri that helps to understand clearly how people lived at that distant time. Ananurian structures, unlike other similar structures, are perfectly preserved. This particular feature evokes interest in the fortress of both tourists and historians, and since 2012, this fortress has held the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Following the fortress, you will have the option to break for lunch at the Pasanauri Restaurant, where you will have the opportunity to taste traditional Georgian Khinkali. Following lunch, you will head to Gudauri, a ski resort situated on a south-facing plateau of the greater Caucasus Mountain. After the ski resort, you will encounter the People's Friendship Arch, an inspiration of the famous sculptor Tsereteli. It was built at an altitude of 2,384 meters in the Kazbegi district, on the cross pass near the Military Georgian Road. Later on, you will visit the Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) Trinity Church in Gergeti. On the slope of the majestic Kazbek Mountain, among the snow-covered ranges, is the ancient Georgian Trinity Church. It is located at an altitude of 2,170 meters near the town of Stepantsminda and the village of Gergeti. Towards the end of your tour, you will have the option for dinner in a Pasanauri restaurant, before you are returned to Avlabari metro station in Tbilisi.

I am thoroughly impressed by Gamarjoba Tours. The tour guides are outstanding! Friendly, patient, informative & helpful from the minute you check-in to the point you sit in the taxi to return to the hotel. Our guide Nika did an amazing job at getting the tour guests to socialise & get comfortable. He anticipated our needs in advance. The tour itself is designed in a good way that covers breathtakingly beautiful spots. Adequate amount of time was spent at each venue allowing for good photo ops (Nika is also a great photographer!). I must also mention that all my fellow tour members were extremely fun & friendly and we had a great time. Absolute must-see; you don't want to miss out on this.

Day trip that is totally worth it. The tour started from Tbilisi to Jinvali up to Kazbegi and back again. A few highlights would be the Gergeti Trinity Church and lunch at a local place in Kazbegi. Our guide Nika was knowledgeable, energetic and one of the most fun loving personal you would get to know. At the end of the trip we had a final stop, where Nika and our driver Kacha had prepared a few specialty home brew, which was one of the best experience by the Jinvali reservoir. Overall, highly recommend this tour, and would also recommend this company as the crew are very welcoming.

It is a long ride, bring snacks and drinks, because the lunch will be at the Rooms hotel which is costly and then the proper lunch/dinner will be at 1730H. There were two tour guides that day- Nika who speaks Russian and Luka who is for English speaking guests. Luka was enthusiastic and assisting us in booking 4 x 4 car and lunch/dinner. Little bit of story telling time.
