Tenerife is one of the most recognized destinations in the world for stargazing and home to a famous observatory located at the summit of the world’s third-tallest volcano. Begin your 9-hour experience taking in panoramic views of Tenerife and absorb the fragrance of the pine forest in Teide National Park. Break through the clouds at 7,000 feet and marvel at the astonishing views of the Atlantic Ocean and the islands of the archipelago. Watch the sun melt into soft pinks, reds, and purples and celebrate the sunset with a glass of chilled sparkling cava. As darkness blankets the landscape you’ll be taken on a tour of the stars by one of the few professional star guides in the world. The position of Tenerife makes it possible to see all the constellations of the northern hemisphere. Spot famous constellations with the help of your guide.
Nice sunset and stargazing. The stargazing assumed no previous knowledge, the guide helpfully pointed to stars and constellations. The sky was amazing. Throughout the tour, the guide was knowledgeable and funny. I expected more walking and exploring in the national park area. Glad they recommended warm clothing.
Experience another side of Tenerife on this 8-hour 4WD tour. Head to popular El Teide National Park and see the evidence of past volcanic activity. Enjoy a drive to mountain villages and discover the area’s geography and its people. See Vilaflor, the highest village of Spain, and the typical hamlets of Masca. At each stop your guide will tell you about the places you’re visiting. There will also be a stop at a restaurant, where you can enjoy a meal (at your own expense).
We will never forget our guide, Frankie. He made the experience the most fun, unforgettable trip ever. He was so knowledgeable but at the same time never made it feel like a history lecture, he was absolutely hilarious. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip, thank you Frankie!
The night sky over the Canary Islands, especially as seen from Mount Teide, is known for being one of the best places in the world to admire and study the stars. On this 8-hour tour you’ll see the constellations and magical shooting stars. Your specialist stargazing guide will help you to understand and enjoy the sky at night from an extraordinary landscape. During the excursion you’ll stop for dinner at Bodegas Reverón in Vilaflor village, at 1,414 meters above sea level. You’ll be treated to a typical Canarian dinner and you’ll be able to try different types of wines produced in this unique area.
Tour wasinteresting missed the sunset since we were still on the coach, the dinner was lovely in a beautifull bodega that sells its own wine. The stargazing took place in a small parking area beside a road, cars on the road have to use their full lights so can be very intrusive, wish we had moved a little further to avoid this. The guide was very knowledgable of the constellations and the cosmologicaal equipment used on the island. Overall it was a good experience for anyone interested in the universe, but dont be expecting to use any telescopes to get a closer look at anything, as we were they are not provided.
