Continue to the archaeological site of Teotihuacán to explore one of the largest urban centers from the ancient world. Learn about the splendor of the historic city as you look at different structures such as the Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon. Discover the remains of the Quetzalpapálotl complex, thought to have been the home of a high ranking priest. Stroll down the Avenue of the Dead to look at different architectural styles. Visit a handicraft center and get explanations about ancient crafts and traditional drinks. Take part in a tasting of tequila, mezcal, and pulque, and then visit the 16th-century monastery in Acolman.

Visit Teotihuacan, the City of the Gods, early in the morning before tour groups arrive. Enjoy the mystical atmosphere of this impressive archaeological site for an authentic experience in this great city of ancient Mexico. The full-day tour will be enriched by the stories, anecdotes and historical commentary of your expert guide. In addition to touring the archeological site, stop at a local family’s obsidian workshop, and enjoy tasting liqueurs made from cactus, as well as tequila, mezcal and pulque. At the same location there will be time for lunch (not included in the tour price) before heading back to your Mexico City hotel.

Enjoy a breathtaking hot air balloon flight through the Teotihuacan Pyramids, and compare different views from the sky and in land. Savor a hearty breakfast so you can and continue your adventure in the archeological site, where you'll see the famous Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. Walk through the iconic city to the fresco murals that are still preserved in the old residential neighborhoods. Before leaving the archaeological site, visit the home of an artisan to learn more about obsidian, and the most famous drinks of Mexico: Pulque, Tequila and Mezcal. Enjoy a typical lunch in the Village of San Martín de las Pirámides. You will return to Mexico City around 4:00 PM.

Begin your day walking down the mythical Avenue of the Dead lined with vestiges of a magnificent civilization in the pre-Columbian Americas. The Guide will tell you about this mythical civilization, you will have a different perspective of the Pyramids of Teotihuacan. Continue with a bike ride through the Teotihuacán valley and enjoy the fantastic views of the area. Visit the Magical Town of San Martín de las Pirámides and explore a cave where your guide will talk to you about the importance of worldview in ancient culture. Visit a craft workshop where you will learn about precious stones, such as obsidian, and here you will also have the opportunity to taste the traditional Mexican alcoholic drink pulque, a fermented agave sap drink. Your tour will end with a tasty lunch (no drinks included) and will return to Mexico City at approximately 4:00 PM (depending on traffic conditions).

Your 8-hour tour begins in the morning with a visit to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe – who has been called The Empress of America. At the Plaza de las Tres Culturas you’ll see the 16th-century Santiago de Tlatelolco Church and the remnants of early Aztec temples. The tradition of La Villa de Guadalupe involved a miracle and an American Indian saint. With the vision of the Virgin Mary in 1531 there began a saga that helped convert millions of Indians to Catholicism, and the image became a symbol for Mexican Christians around the world. Today La Villa de Guadalupe is a popular site visited by people of all religions and nationalities. Next on the itinerary is a visit to the famous archeological site of Teotihuacan, approximately 50 kilometers north-east of Mexico City. You’ll see the monumental Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, the Temple of Quetzalpapalotl, and the Avenue of the Dead. This was one of the few cities in the world that was considered worthy of habitation by the gods of the culture. The archeological vestiges of Teotihuacan, such as remnants of the fine pottery produced here, have ended up in museums around the world.

Start your 12-hour tour at the heart of Mexico City – its zocalo, or central square. See the ancient Cathedral and the Presidential Palace, home to murals by the famous Mexican artist, Diego Rivera. Next, head to the ancient Aztec city of Teotihuacán, one of the most impressive archeological complexes in Mexico. Take a walk along the Path of the Dead and climb one of the world’s tallest pyramids. Hear about the history of Teotihuacan and Aztecs from your guide. Head back toward the city and stop to visit the most important religious site in Latin America – the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This shrine is home to the original shroud of the Virgin Mary.
