Journey through 2,000 Years of York's dark and grizzly history. Surprises await you in the dungeon: fear the Vikings as they invade and conquer York. Discover Guy Fawkes' famous Gunpowder Plot and what really happened that November night. Step inside the carriage to the Knavesmire, where one of history's most infamous Highwaymen returned. A brilliant experience- so well done and the actors were utterly fantastic. Spooky, sinister and hilarious. It’s definitely not suitable for sensitive younger kids. Our 9 year old boy was a bit frightened in parts - although our 7 year daughter loved the goriness and it was the highlight of our York visit. It’s very clear it’s not suitable for under 8’s. We will be back!

This is a gem of York. You have to visit, it's by far the most entertaining time you'll have doing the tourist trail. Really well put together and gives a real interactive flavour of You're through the ages. Be prepared to be scared!
