We only had about 36 hours in Athens on the start of our Honeymoon and we really wanted to make the most of it, so we booked a private tour of the Acropolis & Museum. This was an amazing choice because it allowed us to talk one on one with our guide, move around Athens freely, ask all sorts of questions and really get an intimate feel of the city! Dorina, our tour guide, was absolutely fantastic & every few steps it seems she taught us new things about the history of the city. She was so incredibly knowledgeable I wish I could have taken her with us through the rest of Greece! We were referencing things she said or taught us the rest of our 10 day trip, she really helped make our honeymoon! The tour was also definitely a lot of walking (I think we did 12 miles or so that day) so bring comfortable shoes, a hat & a water bottle to combat the heat. Refill stations are available. The Museum is new and well worth the visit -if you're a history buff you can't pass this one up!

This is an excellent experience. I thought it was a little pricey, but our tour guide (Aris) made it worth it. It is nice to have your own private licensed tour guide to walk you through the city and through all the historical sites.

We learned dramatically more about Athens and its history by doing this tour as opposed to going it on our own. Kostas our guide was excellent and clearly passionate about sharing his knowledge of the history of Athens with us.

We loved our private tour! Annie was amazing and told great stories! My girls 10-14 were engaged with the Greek methodology stories. So much fun!

Kimon was an amazing guide - the tour was immersive, educational, and unforgettable. Easily one of the highlights of all that we did in Greece.
