What people are saying about Thessaloniki

Brilliant experience. There were only 7 of us in the tour, which is a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other crowded tours. The tour was very educational thanks to Iannis' knowledge of Pella, Vergina and Greek history in general. Pella is only 40 mins from Thessaloniki and Vergina is another 30-40 mins from Pella, so the rides were quite short and enjoyable. The Pella visit is divided into the archaeological site and the museum. The site is quite interesting, but a good guide with good information is a must, which luckily we had. The museum is modern and overall quite good. The ride to Vergina was quite enjoyable through the fields. At Vergina, the tombs and the museum were super interesting and well preserved. Highly recommend lunch at the restaurant across the street from the site (not included). Great local food. Tickets to the sites are not included with the tour price: Pella - 8 euros (includes both site and museum). Vergina - 12 euros.

The trip is efficiently organised. The tour guide is extremely well-informed and provided engaging commentary throughout the day. I was surprised by the quality of the collection in the Pella museum.

Great tour, well organized and with a really great guide, Lazaros. He gave us an overview not just of Pella and a vergina, but also the whole region of Macedonia, from past to now. Recommended!

Two interesting museums as well as the archaeological site of Pella, which is also worth seeing. Our tour guide Lazarus was very, very nice and had a lot of information for us.

Very good and interesting day trip. Lazarus the guide was very nice.
