The tour will begin from the meeting point located in central Brasov. You will be driven in comfort to the Peasants Citadel, a medieval fortress built from at a time when Teutonic chevaliers ruled the Brasov County. Enjoy a visit around the fortress and observation point, and discover it's history and legends, stopping to take in the wonderful views of Brasov Plateau and the surrounding mountains. The journey will continue towards Bran Castle. Completed in 1388, the castle was built on a steep cliff between Măgura and Dealul Cetăţii, with an exceptional view of the nearby hills. Among the world’s largest carnivores, male brown bears can weigh up to 750 pounds, with an estimated 5,500 individuals living in the Carpathian region of Romania.  After arriving in the forest, your guide, an experienced forest ranger, will take you on a 20-minute walk to the hideaway from which you’ll watch the bears. Gaze out into the forest, keeping your eyes peeled for the massive creatures, alongside the other varied fauna that live in the region, from wild boar to deer and lynx. Travel with your guide in the morning from Bucharest to the countryside. See famous architecture, including Dracula's Castle, and ancient architecture in Brasov before returning to your accommodation. Leave the city with your guide on the route to Sinaia. Visit the Peles Castle, former summer residence of the kings of Romania. Admire a museum of furniture and ornamental objects, carpets, tapestry, sculptures, paintings, and a weaponry collections from the 15th up to the 19th century. Continue the journey to Bran, famous for Bran Castle, also called Dracula's Castle, known for its significance in local and history, and literature.

7. Bran: Guided Castle Tour

After meeting with your guide in Bran village, your castle tour will start. After a short introduction about the surrounding area, you will walk inside the castle and begin your journey into the past. Bran Castle has more than 50 rooms, but most of them closed between 2006 and 2009 when Queen Maria’s grandchildren inherited it from the Romanian government. There are still 19 of them currently open for the general public, as well as a secret passage. Your guide will provide you with an in-depth tour covering the history of the fortress, including many legends and vampires. You will also hear stories about Count Dracula, and the implication of Queen Maria of Romania in the restoration of this fantastic place. You can encounter the guard's room, the queen’s apartment, the king’s apartment, the catellan’s office, the music room, and the apartments of Princess Ileana and Prince Nicolae. Your tour will end in the court yard by the well, which sits right beside the time tunnel which you will be welcome to walk through afterwards.

It was a great tour with Andri . Very informative , knowlegable , and funny guy, delivered all of that in relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Andri is great guide and answers all your extra questions, although the trip was 12 hours, but honestly Andri made us feel liks it was few hours , he is very good at what he loves to do, I had a really good time. It's definitely worth the money and I recommend it to every visitor, this trip to 2 castles and Basrov was really worth the money , thank you Andri you are the best !

Lovely day trip from Bucharest. Easy way to see all the attractions of the area in a short period of time. Our guide, Adrian was very knowledgeable and gave the best recommendations (go with him for lunch break in Bran and you won’t be sorry).
