From Krakow: Zakopane and Thermal Springs with Hotel Pickup

1. From Krakow: Zakopane and Thermal Springs with Hotel Pickup

Start with a pickup from your hotel, apartment, or another place of your choice in Krakow at the time you specify. From there the duration of the trip from Krakow to Zakopane is approximately 2 hours. About 20 minutes from Zakopane lies the town of Chochołów. This village is famous for its wooden houses which look almost identical. Settlers have traditionally washed the wooden walls of buildings with soap, which happens twice a year in the periods before Christmas and Easter. Thanks to this cleaning, the buildings that are many years old look like new. In the vicinity of Chochołów, there are places where highlanders produce sheep's cheese traditional to this region of Poland. This cheese is called "Oscypek", and as part of your trip, you will learn about its production history whilst tasting it. The town of Zakopane is the capital of the Polish mountains. Each year, this place attracts many tourists who want to experience the unique style of Górlaskie culture, which is expressed through architecture, food, music, style of speech, and clothing. In the town center lies "Krupówki" Street, and you will be given time for independent exploration and a possible lunch. This street is the market square of Zakopane, where you can find many good restaurants which serve local food, as well as souvenir shops. Zakopane also boasts cable-car access, and from the top of the "Gubałówka" Mountain, you can glimpse the Polish Tatra Mountains. After exploring Zakopane and the surrounding area, your driver will transport you to the thermal pools in Bukowina Tatrzańska. Whilst there, relax and feel the health properties of thermal water. The admission ticket to the Bukovina Thermal Pools includes themed areas for children and adults so that everyone can enjoy their time equally.  After returning to the parking lot, your driver will take you to your desired location in Krakow.

You’ll travel from Bucharest to Sinaia on this full-day excursion that takes you through one of the most beautiful valleys in Romania. Visit Peles Castle, once the summer residence of Romanian kings, and now home to one of the country’s most important museums. The Castle dates from the late 19th century, and has 160 opulently decorated rooms. It is the final resting place for several Romanian monarchs, including King Carol I, who died here in 1914, as well as King Ferdinand and Queen Maria. What people are saying about Transylvania

Gregor was on time, a great driver and was knowledgeable about the local cultures we visited. There was five of us in the minibus which gave us room to sleep on the way back. The stop at the cheese cabin was great…..take money as when you taste the cheese you will definitely want to buy some. We were really looking forward to the views at Zakopane, however it was misty and a damp experience which in turn affected the views. So please pick your days depending on the weather. The town would be like off a Christmas Card if it was snowing with it’s shops made out of logs. The thermal spa made up for it. You have a wrist band to access lockers and pay for you poolside bar which when you put your wristband in, you pay bar bill. It was 6oC on the outside and the lifeguards were wearing thick coats, whilst we were in our swimwear. Jacuzzi Sauna Inside pool Desperate pools for fun such as slides. We slept so well that night, definitely has some healing properties.

From start to finish the trip was amazing and highlight of the holiday. Driver was very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. The views were amazing and stop in small family cheese establishment. Then onto the slopes via cable train for amazing views, cute wooden buildings and markets full of local produce. After all that activity, off to the relaxing thermal springs. It was bigger than I thought and endless pool areas. Water was so warm. You can buy food n drink with a wrist access pass so no need to carry money and pay at the end. I'm already planning my next visit.

The driver and also tour guide (Patric) who picked us up and brought us to places is really attentive, flexible and informative. Regarding the tour itself, my wife and I really enjoyed the small stop in Chocholow where we tasted the famous sheep cheese. Moreover, Zakopane itself is AMAZING and the thermal spring is so relaxing. We are more than happy that we booked this tour.

Fantastic, very beautiful place, even more so in winter with snow.

Fantastic trup! Our guide was brilliant and very helpful.
