1. From Tbilisi: Kazbegi Region and Truso Valley 4x4 Tour

We promise that you will see the ancient fortress of Ananuri, the Zhinvali reservoir with turquoise water, the arch of friendship and ski resort Gudauri, the confluence of two rivers, the ancient church Gergeti. But that's not all! The Truso Gorge Valley is the place where the Terek River originates and the landscapes take your breath away. Take more with us! Add a nice walk in the Kazbegi area in an almost abandoned valley towards South Ossetia borders. Except for the nice nature, there are also interesting travertine formations due to local mineral springs, geysers, ancient towers, and several abandoned settlements. And of course, at the lunch, you can try the best khinkali!

From Tbilisi: Full-Day Snowshoeing Tour to Kazbegi

2. From Tbilisi: Full-Day Snowshoeing Tour to Kazbegi

Start the tour early in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel in Tbilisi. Head to the north of Tbilisi through the Georgian Military Road. The road runs between Tbilisi (Georgia) and Vladikavkaz (Russia) and follows the traditional route used by traders and invaders throughout the ages. On the way to Mt. Kazbegi, enjoy views of Ananuri Fortress arising above Jinvali Lake and surrounding the mountain area. Farther on, the road continues to the Gudauri Skiing Resort located 120 kilometers north from Tbilisi at a height of 2,196 meters (about 7,200 feet). It is a young and rapidly developing winter resort located on the southern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range. Here, one can reach the summit of Mount Sadzele taking an aerial lift at an altitude of 3000 meters. In just a few minutes drive, one can reach Cross Pass, the highest point of the Georgian Military Road (about 2400 meters). From Cross Pass with the Serpentine Road, arrive down to the small village of Stapantsminda at the foot of Mt. Kazbegi from where you will start the snowshoeing tour to the awesome Gergeti Trinity Church. Walking up to the church takes 1 to 2-hours of winter hiking through the snowy forest up to the hills. The difference of altitude from Stepantsminda to Gergeti Trinity Church is 400 meters. Reaching the main highlight of the day, Gergeti Trinity Church (2170 meters) overlooks the area proudly as a steady symbol of Georgia. Enjoy the stunning views in a fabulous atmosphere. Due to your wish and possibility, it's available to prolong your trip after covering the main area and examine your opportunities  beyond. By the church as an award, you will have a warm coffee with a light snack and hot drinks overlooking the Tergi River gorge and village Gergeti covered with deep snow. After the trip, you will be driven you back to Tbilisi. On the way back, due to your wish, have a short stop at Ananuri Fortress. (16th to 17th century).

This was an awesome tour! It was small group of just 3 people. The highlight was the off-road part where we drove into Truso Valley and did a walk. The scenery was absolutely beautiful! The tour guide was great -- we were always able to stop for breaks when needed and he helped us take lots of nice photos. I highly recommend this tour! It's great value for money, especially compared to the big bus tours. You'll be able to see all the sights plus some amazing scenery!

We had a fantastic tour 2 days ago with Kuba! He is the best tour guide we ever have here in Tbilisi, your company is very lucky to have a kind and nice guy. And to the driver Archie, he is the best driver even off road. Thank you Kuba and archie about yesterday you guys treat us not a guest we look like known each other long time. I will recommend this tour especially you guys to our family and friends in Dubai. Take care always Kuba and Archie, see you soon

What a wonderful trip! I chose the Kazbegi and Truso Valley trip and I enjoyed it a lot even though I went last year but I learned a lot of information about each place we visited and Truso Valley was totally new to me which made the trip more interesting. Our lovely tour guide Khatuna was really kind, knowledge, and so much fun. I was lucky to be in a nice small group too.
