Hot Air Balloon Flight over Turin and Langhe from Carru

2. Hot Air Balloon Flight over Turin and Langhe from Carru

Experience the magic of flying high above the cypress-studded hills and vineyards of Piedmont on a 1-hour hot air balloon flight from Turin. The adventure begins as soon as you arrive at the take-off field in Carru. As this is dependent on weather conditions, the precise location will be provided to you the day before your flight. Watch as the balloons are inflated and prepared before your eyes. Once the pilots have done their final checks and given you a safety briefing, climb into the basket suspended beneath the balloon, and begin your float up to altitudes of 2,000 feet (6,000 meters). Glide over valleys and castles, enjoying panoramic views of the rolling scenery below. Each flight offers a different experience, as the balloons are directed by the breeze. Upon landing, enjoy a glass of sparkling champagne before the transfer shuttle back to your take-off site.

Turin: Art Nouveau Walking Tour with Coffee

3. Turin: Art Nouveau Walking Tour with Coffee

Meet your guide in front of the Metro stop of Principi d'Acaja and start discovering the Art Nouveau of Turin. Discover The House of Dragons, which is one of the most valuable examples in the city of the skilful mix between the neo-Gothic French style and Art Nouveau, which was immensely popular in the city at the turn of the 19th and 20th century. See Casa Fenoglio-Lafleur, a beautiful house that immediately strikes the eye for the wonderful floral friezes that cover the facade, the wrought-iron balconies, and the splendid polychrome glass. Visit Villino Raby, which is one of Pietro Fenoglio's masterpieces. The wrought iron railings lead to the rooms with the large bow-window and the decorations of the master Domenico Smeriglio. See the Chiesa di Gesù Nazareno which built at the start of the 20th century as part of a project by architect Giuseppe Gallo. Constructed in the neo-Gothic style with Art Nouveau influences, the building is dominated by the high bell tower, with a richly decorated facade.  As part of the tour, enjoy a coffee in a traditional café, also built in the Art Nouveau style.

What people are saying about Turin

Very interesting stories, a few twists and an excellent guide. I will try for future tours. Even the excellent organization (I quickly and easily recovered a suspended tour due to bad weather).
