This is the largest ashram in Rishikesh and is located on the banks of the River Ganges. The last activity of the day is an evening prayer on the banks of the River Ganges. Afterward, you will spend the night at a hotel in Rishikesh. Day 2 - Start the day with a drive to the holy city of Haridwar. This ancient city is an important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India’s Uttarakhand state, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills. Visit the Mansa Devi Temple, built atop the Bilwa Parvat on the Sivalik Hills. It can be reached either by trekking or by a rope-way. It is said that this very holy temple emerged from the mind of the great Kashya. Continue to Har ka Pauri, one of the most ancient pilgrimage centers in India. Har Ka Pauri is popular as it is known as the site of the footprints of Lord Vishnu. King Vikramaditya constructed this sacred place in memory of his brother Bhatrihari, who is believed to have come to Haridwar to meditate.

In the evening during sunset, you will visit Ganga Aarti at Haridwar. The tradition continues unabated and is a sight to behold. It takes place on the other side of the banks where you will see the priests light up the lamps in a clockwise manner, accompanied by songs in praise of Mother Ganga. After the ritual is complete, devotees will cup their hands over the flame and raise their palms to their forehead in order to get the Goddess's purification and blessing. Finally, back to Delhi and get dropped at you at around 10pm.
