Valencia: 3-Hour City Bike Tour

3. Valencia: 3-Hour City Bike Tour

Leaving directly from the tour office, your guide will lead you on a ride around the most beautiful places in Valencia. More than 2000 years of history can be discovered in the streets of the old quarter. Starting from the historic "Barrio del Carmen" district, visit Plaza de la Virgen, an old square that dates back to the Roman times and Plaza de la Reina, where you can see both the cathedral and the Tower of Miguelete.   Continue to Central Market, Spain’s largest fresh food market which opened in 1928. Close to the market discover La Lonja de la Seda, originally used for silk trading. The last stop is Quart Towers in the city center, a remainder of the old city walls, as well as Torres de Serranos, one of the 12 gates that formed part of the old city wall. After the historic center, visit the greener and more contemporary side of the city. Explore Turia Gardens, the green lung of the city, one of the largest urban parks in Spain. Ride inside the park until you see the City of Arts and Sciences, a huge futuristic educational complex designed by the famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava as a present to his home city. Finally head to the port and the beach. After a well-deserved, refreshing drink in front of the sea, return to the tour operator's office.

Really enjoyed learning to ride the segway and the tour guide was very knowledgeable about what she told in a genuinely enthusiastic way. All in all the tour was very enjoyable. Sidenote: I did hurt myself when speeding a couple of times because my brain automatically did something different than I was taught to on the segway when things went wrong (likely because I'm used to biking) so do be careful when trying out the speeding option in the city.

Great to discover the sites on a Segway! My daughters 11 and 14, and I really had a blast. Even my wife who had her reservations beforehand enjoyed not having to walk and master the Segway in a couple of minutes. Fun to swoosh by the "walking tourist groups". Thanks for the advice to go see the museum with the Roman ruins excavations! We recommend the Segway tour for everyone!

Excellent guide. Knowledgeable and fun. Great coaching to start with and a fine tour around medieval Valencia to follow. Only praise for this experience. I definitely recommend it to others. Great value for money.

An original discovery of Valence with a great guide who also adapted to children. We highly recommend this original city tour!

Very fun experience and you also learn some history
