This is a commercial flight from Vancouver to Tofino and back. The flight is interesting… you’re flying close to the mountains with some nice views… but it’s not a tour. You’re simply escorted onto the plane in a line of other passengers with baggage etc. We were initially a bit confused! Once in Tofino we checked in at the reception area and we’re told we weren’t on the manifest back to Vancouver. We called the airline and they assured us we were on the manifest but they dropped the call before the situation was resolved. Ultimately the pilot sorted it out and was quite lovely about the whole thing. At the end of the day, it’s a nice concept but they’re still working out the execution.
