Full description
This tour of the Prosecco hills takes you northeast of Venice through the countryside near Valdobbiane. On this tour you will have the opportunity to visit the lush green hills of the Prosecco winegrowing region that included the town of Valdobbiane, Conegliano, and Vittorio Veneto. Admire the beautiful scenery of the steep hills covered by vineyards and framed by the nearby Dolomite Mountains. Discover one of the most famous sparkling wines produced in Italy well known for its fruity aromas and its charming unpretentiousness. In this picturesque winegrowing region you will visit one of the top wine producers, where you can learn about the traditional production methods and enjoy a guided wine tasting. The tour then stops for lunch at one of the most historic Frasche (simple rustic trattorias) specializing in simple local cuisine. You will then continue on your journey, stopping to visit a second cantina to experience the small, family-run wine production that is so important to this area, followed by a wine tasting.

Wow this tour FAR exceeded our expectations. This is one of the best if not the best tour I’ve ever been on. Mario our sommelier was absolutely fabulous so pleasant and knowledgeable. He even stopped for coffee en route to the wineries which 6 sleepy people needed. The wineries were beyond excellent and we all learned a lot. I’m a big Prosecco fan and I tasted Proseccos which were sadly not available in our Province in Canada. The lunch which was from farm to table was so delicious. A very beautiful rustic setting. We were going on a cruise after our tour as it’s a small ship and the company is always looking for unique experiences with small groups, I recommended this tour. Highly highly highly recommended.

Wonderful day! We recommend this excursion!

The guide is a really interesting sommelier, we loved it. The people from both vineyards visited were hospitable and very friendly. The Prosecco tastings were delicious and the meal was very plentiful and delicious too! Mario, our guide gave us very interesting explanations and allowed us to appreciate more the wines by his descriptions. We tasted several in each of the two vineyards. A wonderful day!

Best thing we did in Italy!

Our guide, Mario, was so nice and very knowledgeable! We learned so much about the proseccos of the region and visited two lovely, family-owned wineries. We also had lunch at a charming little restaurant in between and tasted some delicious local food. It was definitely the highlight of our trip!
