The palace was well worth a visit but make sure you take photo ID if you want to use the audio guide at a cost of €5. We couldn’t get the guide as we didn’t have any photo ID with us which was disappointing. The paintings in the palace are breathbtaking.

A must-see iconic building with fabulous, interesting artefacts. We booked ahead to avoid the long queues - definitely recommend this. One criticism is that the paintings and artefacts are not individually labelled. There are cards available with numbers/codes relating to items both on the walls and ceilings but these were not always available or in the language required. This did make it more difficult to access the information and did somewhat lessen the experience as I found myself wandering through faster than I normally would. I would therefore recommend an audio guide or personal guide to gain the best experience. Entrance to the Correr Museum is included and I would not want to miss this. We did on separate day as we didn't want to rush - there is a lot to see in both venues. Liked the cafe at the Correr.
