Full description
Explore the narrow alleyways of Venice and learn about the city's darkest secrets on a walking tour with an expert local guide. Upgrade your experience and add an optional gondola ride through the canals of Venice after your walking tour. Start the tour in the city center, from where you will reach the Remedio Bridge, which offers a privileged view of the Bridge of Sighs, also known as the bridge of lovers, even though it actually leads to the dark and feared Doge’s prisons.

Listen to captivating commentary about the Prisons' Palace in St. Mark's Square, and learn about the Lords of Night — the fearsome police of the Serenissima Republic, infamous for torturing their prisoners. Learn about Casanova's secrets and discover treasures stolen from Constantinople. Unveil the mysteries of Marco Polo and the Silk Road. Go back in time with a mobile app that shows you a reconstruction of Venice from the 11th to 17th centuries. Discover Calle Varisco, Venice's narrowest street, and admire Corte Remer, from where you will have an amazing view of Rialto Bridge, the most ancient bridge of Venice.

Choose an optional gondola ride and explore the city's many canals. Admire highlights of Venice from the water, including the Mozart House, Fenice Opera House, the Grand Canal, and more. End your tour at Piazza San Marco.

Francesco was awesome! We loved our tour. It started promptly and we learned so much about the history of Venice. It was wonderful to walk through the streets and find out all the interesting things that we’d never know on our own. I would definitely recommend to others.

The tour guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. The history super interesting and we ended up covering quite a lot of ground. The only negative side was that the tour took place in english and italian, so there was a lot of standing around waiting for the same thing to be repeated again in another language. It was also a bit rushed (I'm assuming because the tour guide had to repeat herself in two languages).

Valentina was a knowledgeable guide. The tour was very interesting and gave us a sense of Venice and her history. The downside was that 2 of the 6 participants only spike Italian. It was supposed to be an English language tour and we spent half the time standing around while guide said same thing in Italian to that couple.
