Full description

Depart from the railway station on Piazzale Roma and journey to Murano, famous for its glass-blowing industry. Dating back to the Middle Ages, the still-thriving tradition has been passed down over generations and each glass blower has developed their own personal style. Watch a glass-blowing demonstration and learn to recognize the difference between the various artisans and brands during your 1-hour stay on the island. Then, continue to the island of Burano, known for its crochet work and brightly colored houses. Get picture-perfect views of the landmarks of Burano, such as the leaning bell tower and the main square of Piazza Baldassarre Galuppi, named after a major 18th-century Venetian composer. Look in some of the lace shops during your 1.5-hour visit to the island. Then, conclude your travels on Piazza San Marco and see sights such as the Doge's Palace and Campanile as you stroll around the famous colonnades.

We went on the tour today and thought it was fantastic! Everything was very smooth, easy to find and the tour itself was great! Georgia who led the tour was brilliant and her knowledge of the area as well as her ability to speak 4 different languages fluently was incredible! We would definitely recommend and if we return to Venice again in the future we will book again!

Great trip! Well worth the money to visit the two islands and see a glass blowing demonstration. The time goes by fast but if you’re only in Venice for the weekend it’s the perfect amount of time. Our guide was lovely, I believe her name was Georgina but I don’t quite remember. She gave the tour in 4 different languages and was very helpful to everyone.

You can only get there by boat so why not do a tour? It was cold up top!! The glassblowing is pretty cool! And I found gluten and dairy free gelato in Murano. Burano is so colorful! Try the cuttlefish with polenta- typical dish in Venice. I sure wish the boat moved faster as it a lot of the tour is getting there! The start and end points are different if you get picked up by train station (KFC). No food included, it’s just transport with a multi-lingual guide on the boat.
