Full description

Departing from Venice, travel across the lagoon to visit the islands of the Venetian Lagoon: Murano, Burano, and Torcello. Choose excursion options with visits to either 2 or 3 islands. Visit a glass factory on Murano Island and enjoy live commentary aboard your boat. Depart from either the St. Mark's Square area or from the railway station and begin your journey. Board a panoramic boat and leave towards the northern part of the lagoon.

The first stop will be Murano Island, famous for its glass production and picturesque views.  Here, have the chance to visit a glass factory and observe a local artist giving shape to a glass piece of art. Let yourself be amazed by Murano Island, but also remember to get back in time to the boat to leave for the next highlight. The next stop is Burano Island, famous for its colorful houses. Apart from being a paradise for photography lovers, it is home to a long tradition of lace production. Enough free time will be left to stroll around the island and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that can still be found here.  If you have chosen the option for the Three Islands, the next stop is Torcello, known as the Mother of Venice. You have the chance to visit the Basilica, which is one of the oldest in the Lagoon and holds some beautiful mosaics, or maybe visit the museum. If not you can just spend your time walking around this enchanting and very historical island.  With eyes full of beauty and camera cards full of memories to cherish, you will then catch your motorboat ride back to Venice.

This tour was just to Murano and Burano - no Torcello - as had been advertised. The live multilingual explanations were unintelligible, too fast and on the background of the engine noise. The visit to Murano focused on the overpriced sale of the same items available all over Venice at half price. I would have loved more free time on the island.

Good value. Murano and Burano were lovely. BUT WAY TOOO MANY PEOPLE. Torcello was kinda pointless like everyone says on the reviews. Don’t be fooled into buying anything on the first stop at the “glass factory” at Murano. Lots of stuff around in the shops.. The “multi lingual” your guide bit in English was way over my head and not clear… Would recommend getting a boat day pass and going at your own pace.

Fantastic trip out. Start at meeting point near Bridge of sighs, (it is a small portable pop up desk with yellow banner) 1min walk to boat. Scenic boat ride to 1st stop of Murano, glass blowing demonstration was interesting. Lovely quiet island with free time to explore. Then back onto boat for Burano, free time on island. Was lovely place to visit, shops, restaurants, wish we had longer as enjoyed it. Would recommend this trip.
