We enjoyed our tour and everything about the booking was very good. That said, we had not nearly enough time to do both the gardens and the Palace. Also, had we known about it, we would have immediately headed to the line to rent an electric golf cart. They are in very limited supply and this would have been the way to see all the gardens although hardly enough time to stop and enjoy all of the gardens in detail. The Palace was doable in three to four hours and we enjoyed that although it is a shame that it is so dark in many of the rooms. The paintings are dark as well and the room lighting is bad to horrible. Sometimes the only light comes from large windows which put so much glare on the paintings they are impossible to see. But overall, it is a tour not to be missed. The audio guides provide excellent information and to us were mandatory. Our host was very accommodating and made sure everything ran like clockwork.

The e- ticket worked seamlessly and when we exited near the grand canal for an ice cream there was no problem re-entering. We decided to walk from fountain to fountain and did miss a couple before the water was turned off at 5pm. This was also because we arrived at midway and had lunch at the garden restaurant.

What people are saying about Versailles

It is necessary for me to walk with a cane due to leg surgery I have had. The staff could not have been more attentive and accommodating to my friends and me. We were allowed use of the elevators with their assistance since I was not capable of managing the stairs. The whole experience was wonderful!

Olivia was a fun and energetic guide. She clearly loves what she does. She was a great driver, too! This is a long day but it’s interesting to experience the differences between the wild gardens of Monet and the structured gardens at Versailles. Enjoy!

Lindo Palácio e jardins. Aproveitamos numa fase bem vazia o que foi ótimo. Tudo muito lindo.

It was a nice experience, one in a lifetime. Highly recomanded!

Incredible grounds and amazing Palace, inside and out!
