Autumn on the farm

10. Autumn on the farm

Welcome to join us for a day on the farm! Our farm has pigs, sheeps and grassfed highland cattle. We produce our own potatoes and live in the middle of berryland, at least we have quite much of all kinds of berries around. Woolen hungarian mangalitsas to feed, our young piglets asking to be scratched, hay feeding in the sheep barn or moving our highland cattle to new pastures. Or what about getting the sheep into the barn for wintertime? This is a few of the activities that you can participate in when you join us for a day on the farm. Depending on the season we also go foraging and harvesting, and some of the catch can also be kept if you like. We do for example have our own potatoes, and we are happy to let you take some home when you go. Its important to know that the activities may vary with the season and with the weather. The only thing we know for sure is that there will be things to do and mouths to feed, and we go out in all kinds of weather. There will for sure be feeding to do, but we plan the rest of the daily work and activities when we know the weather and the group. Please don't hesitate to tell us if you have something special you are dreaming of, whether it is bottlefeeding of lambs or checking the highland cattle for the night under the aurora. We will try to include you in our farm day as best as we can. Food is important! As proud producers of high quality meat we have asked our restaurant chef to provide us with something nice to end the day. Depending of the time we meet it can be a three course lunch or a two course dinner, but we promise you: If there will be meat it will be grassfed/free range. We are also happy to cook vegetarian, but because of what we do we can not provide any vegan meals. Roll up your sleeves and get ready, we are ready to include you in our team!
