    Be picked up in your hotel by a private driver who will take you on a scenic journey to the famous Salzkammergut Alpine region. You will be taken through the heart of the Austrian Alps and will enjoy panoramic mountain views. The first stop will be one of Austria´s oldest abbeys the baroque Admont Abbey where you can admire its famous library which is one of the largest libraries in the world. You will than take the panoramic journey to the hidden pearl of Austria - a unique mining village of Hallstatt where you can walk through its little streets and enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful mediaval village.  The last stop will be the little town on the banks of the Traunsee River - Gmunden. You will get the opportunity to see the beautiful Ort Castle which appears to be floating in the centre of the lake and you will also get the opportunity to buy souvenirs from many shops with original hand crafts.  After a beautiful day in the Austrian Alps enjoy a ride back to your hotel in Vienna.

    It was very nice tour. I had a perfect day. But I think that is good sleep a day there because it is to long from Wien.

    The drive was comfortable and Peter is a good and professional driver. The scenery on the way there is stunning. However, keep in mind that this day trip does not include a tour guide. Peter was a very nice driver but we didn't receive any kind of information about the stops we went to. And our first and third stops were a waste of time in Melk and at Orth. There was nothing to see really at these places (everything in the town of Melk was closed at 9am and at Orth it was dark) and we didn't receive any background or information on either place. We would have just preferred to go straight to Hallstatt. And the price for this is just way too expensive for what you're getting. I would recommend finding something else at a more reasonable price. Taking an Uber to Hallstatt and back would have been cheaper, we checked. There wasn't even water bottles or anything provided in the car. This is the first tour I've bought where I don't feel the price matched my experience.
