Full description

Witness the Mozart Ensemble Vienna and enjoy a moving and unforgettable concert at Mozart's first house in Vienna, Mozarthaus. Hear music from the Viennese Classical Period, including Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Beethoven, and more.

Step into Vienna’s historic city center, near both St. Stephan’s Cathedral and Hofburg, and enter the Sala Terrena at Mozarthaus Vienna. Built as part of the monastery of the German Knightly Order in the second half of the 12th century, view the refined architecture and ornate frescos of the Sala Terrena.

Walk in the footsteps of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who lived in the monastery in 1781, and hear his symphonies where he used to play. Experience Viennese classical music in an authentic setting and let the night drift by as the Mozart Ensemble Vienna performs.

We had the opportunity to watch the Mozart ensemble last Dec 25, 2022 at 7:30 pm. The concert was good. But the coordination between GetYour Guide and the event coordinator of the Mozart concert was POOR. Our booking was not reflected in the day of the event despite showing our vouchers. This resulted in a delay in giving us our assigned seat number. The event coordinator asked us to wait until all of the other guests with actual tickets entered the concert hall. The seats given to us were uncomfortable (not the same as the other seats). This also happened with the some other guests that night who used the GetYour Guide App.

The venue is not in the Mozarthaus as advertised. This is a room in a church where Mozart played for two months. In short, we had trouble finding the venue because we first went to the MozartHaus (the museum) which also does concerts. The show was nice but like many things in Vienna, it remains a tourist attraction and for those who know classical music, a few wrong notes got into very well known pieces….. The musicians were very playful and friendly: that saves things. But the value for money may not be worth it.
