Vienna’s Spanish Riding School has been in continuous operation for more than 450 years. It continues to cultivate classical equitation in the Renaissance tradition of the Haute Ecole. On an exclusive 55-minute behind-the-scenes tour, visit the Winter Riding School, a gem of Baroque architecture, the Summer Riding School which houses the world’s largest oval horse walker and the stables in the Stallburg. The Stallburg is Vienna’s most significant Renaissance building, and features an arcade courtyard and the historical stables of the Lipizzaner stallions. Learn about the history of the equestrian tradition and about the Lipizzaner stallions, who are the stars of the establishment.

Really enjoyed this tour of the grounds. Guide was informative and gave lots of insight to the day to day running of the school. You cannot touch the horses but do go into the stable block and if you’re lucky one might pop it’s head over the door between munching his hay!

Fantastic 10/10 Stars. The guide was amazing, had answers for every question and knew a lot. She was also amazing at speaking and keeping everything exciting. Really recommended, this coming from someone with little horse interest. Went their with my wife and I enjoyed every second of it

Guide was very fluent and knowledgeable, lovely place, shame horses away but can't be helped it's their holiday season in July and August. Lovely building and some horses left there. Everything here is expensive at the moment hence the 3 star for vale. Was a little more expensive than I had anticipated for a tour with no horses.
