Was a great experience, the view from the Vittoriano is sensational. Our guide was very competent and helpful, she was able to tell us a lot about ancient Rome and its history. Before that, we watched a 15-minute film on this topic, which turned out to be an excellent start.

To see and to do absolutely at the beginning of the visit of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum to know how it was at the time. A lovely view of Rome, great for pictures. Helpful signs so you can figure out what you're looking at. Was a little bit tricky to find the tourism office where you pick up your tickets and meet the guide. Also, this is not a 'skip the line' tour. We had to line up for inspection of our health passes, and again with everyone to board the elevator. Apart from the video they show (which we didn't see - we were a tiny bit late) there's no real difference between that and just going to the ticket office yourself.
