From London: Stonehenge, Bath, and Lacock Trip with Dinner

1. From London: Stonehenge, Bath, and Lacock Trip with Dinner

Get closer to the stones than ever before with this Stonehenge and Bath tour. Step inside the legendary inner circle during this private viewing away from the crowds and enjoy a truly mesmerising experience as the sun goes down. The day includes a visit to the beautiful Roman city of Bath with entrance to the Baths and time to explore the unspoiled village of Lacock. In Lacock, leave central London and travel west until the tour reaches the quaint village of Lacock. This pretty place dates back to the 13th-century and its booming wool industry made it a prosperous town during the Middle Ages. Boasting picturesque streets, historic buildings, and an Abbey in the heart of the village, Lacock is a charming step back in time. More recently, Lacock has been used as a location for many modern TV and film productions, including Pride and Prejudice and Harry Potter. Let your guide tell you about this village’s colourful history during a short stop. Next, arrive in Bath. Once loved by the Romans, Bath has been a place of pleasure, relaxation, and well-being for centuries. It is also undeniably one of the prettiest cities in the UK and a designated World Heritage Site in its entirety. See its beautiful honey-coloured Georgian architecture, soak in the peaceful yet vibrant atmosphere, marvel at the impressive Bath Abbey, and learn about the rich heritage of this unique location. Tuck in to a delicious two-course earl dinner at a historic pub and enjoy a private viewing of Stonehenge and entrance into the Inner Circle. After dinner, the tour will depart Bath for your extra-special visit to mysterious Stonehenge. You’ll arrive at Stonehenge, located in the lush county of Wiltshire, in the early evening. This is your chance to see a side of the world-famous stones that most people don’t get a chance to see. Experience the unforgettable mystery of this 5,000 year old attraction and spend some time in the midst of an iconic World Heritage Site as you wander in and around the 40 ton rocks. Following your visit to Stonehenge, the tour heads back to London in the late evening.

What people are saying about Wiltshire

Great time in Bath and Stonehenge.

The trip to Bath was definitely worth it; they have a wonderful and informative exhibit and great way to view the Roman Baths. The Stonehenge private viewing was amazing and very special; to be able to walk among the stones at dusk was incredibly moving. Our guide was good. The one item I would change is the stop at Lacock. I would have liked more time at Bath. There was no reason to stop there except stretch our legs and that time could have been spent elsewhere. The dinner was okay, it was a little rushed also. I would guess it has something to do with the tour bus schedule. The bus was comfortable although the distance between the seats was very small. The driver was very competent. I would do this trip again.

It was a long day for us, a group of five ranging in ages 8-74. It was worth every moment and every penny. The inner circle tour of Stonehenge during sunset was the highlight of my week. I could have stayed longer, but the experience was truly exceptional. We didn't enjoy the dinner, and we wished we had more time in Lalock....but when we arrived just at the right moment at Stonehenge, I understood the decisions and timing and couldn't have been more riveted.

Amazing experience! Our guide was Pablo and he was very knowledgeable about everything and funny too. He kept the group engaged by always having a positive attitude, just outstanding. The only downside was the dinner part of the trip. I would rather pay more to be able to eat a good quality meal. Fish & chips was not expected and it was actually below average. Other than that, good!

An small intimate tour with a great guide, Tom and driver Simon!

There were only my husband, me and one other woman on this tour. Tom and Simon (our driver) tagged team to act as tour guides and were informative and totally entertaining. We had a beautiful clear day for the White Cliffs of Dover and Dover Castle. We could see France! Canterbury was a charming town with the beautiful and important Church. We had a nice lunch at a pub there.

Amazing experience.. well guided. informative yet interesting.. great guide and worth spending money on..
