    1. Bago Full-Day Private Tour from Yangon

After a morning pick-up at your hotel in Yangon you’ll enjoy a drive to Bago, formerly known as Hanthawaddy of the Mon Kingdom in the 15th century. En route you’ll stop at the Htaukkyant War Monastery. On this full-day trip, your guide will show you some of the most notable landmarks and attractions, such as the Kyakhat Wine Monastery, and the largest reclining Buddha of Shwe Tha Lyaung, located in the west of Bago. You’ll also see the Hinthagon Pagoda, built on a hill by the great hermit U Khanti, in 1924, and the 4 giant Buddha images of the Kyaikpun Pagoda, built by King Dhammaceti in 1475. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing on to the Shwemawdaw Pagoda, one of the most venerated pagodas in Myanmar. Highly recommended. An absolutely fantastic private tour of Bago, Myanmar. Our guide, Myo , was incredible and gave us such a great insight into life in Bago Myanmar and so many interesting stories and lots of information. Everything was planned perfectly with enough time at each location and great activities to do. Everything ran so smoothly thanks to myo 's knowledge of his country and each place. Walk around this largest Pagoda in Myanmar and understand Buddhism

This is the largest Pagoda in Myanmar and is well worth a visit. It is quieter and less-crowded than the Pagoda in Yangon. Walk clockwise around the perimeter and view the various stations representing the days of the week. Stop at the day of your birth. You can burn incense, strew flower petals, light candles, or pour water over the statues. And you can buy gold leaf sheets to stick on the images. There are also remains from the 1917 earthquake still visible. Visitors are very welcome. Enjoy this artful immersion into Buddhist life.

Myanmar is really spectacular. I recommend GetYourGuide.

I was very fortunate to have had Kyow as my private guide during 3 days in Myanmar. He taught me a lot about Myanmar, Buddhism, the temples, and the lives of the monks. The highlight of my trip to Bago was giving alms to the monks in the monastery. Kyow made my trip to Myanmar so enjoyable that I would really love to return to Myanmar and visit other cities in this wonderful country.
