Had a lovely day out travelling through the North Yorkshire Moors. Our guide and driver Lee arrived on time and provided us with useful information throughout the journey. Loved that he was super knowledgeable and passionate about Yorkshire. He was really friendly and always told us how long we had at each destination. We enjoyed our extra stop at Byland Abbey and Helmsley was a lovely little village to have a quick wander around. Our drive through the Moors was impressive, not the right time of year for the heather to be flowering but couldn't get over the vastness of the area. Would have liked a bit longer than 2 hours in Whitby but understand that we had a schedule to stick to and still managed to see the Abbey and grab fish and chips in that time. Steam train lovers will enjoy the stop at Goathland and we passed through Heartbeat territory too. Lee got us back into York bang on time.

It was amazing! We learned alot about Yorkshire and the moorlands. Lee had a ton of trivia to keep us informed and entertained throughout the drive. And the moorlands are breathtaking! The towns of Helmsley and Pickering were absolutely gorgeous and are must see places when you visit Yorkshire. Whitby was a bit of a let down due to the number of tourists there -- it was chaotic. But the fish and chips shops kind of make the visit there, worth it.

A tour of the York Moors was an absolutely unforgettable experience. There were stops along the way appropriately and you could take photos along the way appropriately. A stop at Aidensfield could be a little longer approx. 15-30 minutes because in 30 minutes I didn't have time to see everything. However, considering the whole, the trip was profitable.
