Important information

Know before you go

  • Please note that the River Ouse in York can occasionally rise to levels that can have an impact on this cruise's daily operations after periods of heavy rainfall in the catchment area upstream
  • The local partner will always attempt to sail, so long as it is safe to do so. There can come a point where the smallest boat can no longer fit underneath the bridges
  • Depending on the height of the waters, it may not be possible to sail at all. In this instance, you will either be eligible for a full refund or your ticket(s) will happily be accepted on another date

The music was a bit loud and rather irritating. The cruise was something different and although it was rather cold it was a good experience. I am afraid of water and boats but I really enjoyed the trip. Shame we did not go earlier as not much to see. Would recommend but when lighter!!

Shorter than anticipated. Sound kept cutting out so couldn't hear the guide. blankets would be a great addition for the top deck. Brollies were on hand if needed. Seats were well spaced and relatively comfy. Warm inside but near impossible to see anything outside. Would recommend going during the day or sitting on the top deck. Staff friendly with bar and snacks on board.

Having walked around York exploring during our 5 day trip, the evening river cruise was a nice way to see a few extra sights. Very informative commentary made it even more interesting. A selection of hot & cold drinks were available & a few snacks. A very enjoyable trip.
