Full description
Your guide will meet you at the entrance of your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort, from where you will travel through the landscape to the entrance of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From there is it a 40-kilometre journey through the desert landscape to the mighty rock formation. On arrival at the viewing area, walk to the best vantage point to see the 36 domes that comprise this spiritual place while watching the sun's morning glow as the desert comes alive. Make your way to the western side of Kata Tjuta where you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy an outback picnic breakfast. As you approach the entrance to Walpa Gorge, named for the wind (Walpa) that whistles between the massive domes that shape Kata Tjuta, the result of aeons of weathering and continual upheaval, your guide will share the significance of this sacred ceremonial site. Take a stroll between these mighty conglomerate rock walls as your guide explains how the environment and the geology have evolved over millions of years. Your guide will return you to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort at the end of the tour.

Great experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Breakfast was good and catered for my lactose intolerance. We saw Kata Tjuta shrouded in cloud and then also after the cloud lifted, displaying many moods. So beautiful. This is a magical part of the world. Do yourself a favour and experience it yourself.

Wayne (Seit travel)tour guide (lovable bloke) was a gem of a guide with great passion in his work as a guide in explaining the aboriginal lores and historical cultural background surrounding Uluru. He also spent extra time in taking us to many other hidden parts of the Uluru base walk and explained in good detail all aspects of the Uluru mythology pertaining to aboriginal culture and geological aspects of the rock formation. An extremely great down to earth man and great gem of a guy, great intellectual asset in the tour guide community and the companies that he represents and works for.

Seb was the guide for this tour and he was great. The sunrise viewing platform gets a little crowded but you are able to get pictures if you have patience. The breakfast was just what was needed at that hour. The walk into the gorge was just the right length and difficulty and Seb did a great job explaining everything we saw.
