The Uluṟu base walk with a tour guide is highly recommended to anyone visiting the area. Uluṟu is such a magical and spiritual place and we would have missed so much (in regard to the Dreamtime stories and geological lesson) if we had done the walk solo. Can’t recommend highly enough.

The guide was excellent, responsive to the people on the tour. He explained what was going to happen, then gave good explanations along the way, as well we answering questions. It helped that our group was only about 15 to 20 people. One thing to note: the pace was faster than we expected between stops, as the total time included stopping for stories and explanations.

Beautiful, but very exhausting walk

Great place and interesting tour, but way too fast! Only for people in good physical condition, the guide set an incredible pace. There were several stops with interesting explanations and the possibility to take photos, but in between that was not possible if you didn't want to lose touch! Only after half the time there is a short breakfast break, with the option of using a toilet, you have to decide, for both the time is actually too short! Still a great experience!
