Get picked up from the Ayers Rock Resort and journey by luxury coach with an on-board toilet to the sacred rock of Uluru. Make your way towards the majestic domes of Kata-Tjuta for your first walk of the day. Visit the Cultural Centre and learn about the local Pitjantjatjara people before going to Uluru (Ayers Rock) to take part in a base walk. Follow the Mala walk along the northwest face of the rock to see fine examples of Anangu rock art.  Then, head to the Mutitjulu Waterhole for your 2nd base walk at the home of an ancestral watersnake called Wanampi. Join a guided sunrise tour to Field of Light, an immersive art installation featuring 50,000 solar-powered stems and globes that resemble a field of glowing flowers, with transfers from Yulara included. See the gentle rhythms of color light up the desert and enjoy a hot drink at the crack of dawn. Rise early to travel the short distance to a desert location overlooking Uluru. Your driver/guide will provide insights and the background of the art installation. Under the cover of darkness, wander through the pathways that encompass the 50,000 spheres of light in the desert, before making your way up the hill to the Dune Top viewing area. Watch the transformation of colors and life as the desert awakens, while enjoying tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Gaze in awe as the sun rises in the distance behind Uluru and the first rays of sunlight creep across the desert sky. See the landscape, including Kata Tjuta behind you, be flooded with light. Immerse yourself in the desert landscape as the sun rises over the Red Centre. As the natural light brightens the landscape, see the Field of Light dim for the day. Capture some photos from this unique raised location, where you can view both Uluru and Kata Tjuta in all their natural glory.

Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) where your Driver Guide will explain the geological development of the area over the millennium. Watch the spectacular sunrise over Kata Tjuta with Uluru in the distance from the western dune viewing area, and enjoy a light breakfast. Your Driver Guide will then escort you on a 2-3 hour walk to the Valley of the Winds lookout. Marvel at the unique flora and admire the view of the central valley of the domes of Kata Tjuta. Later return to Ayers Rock Resort.

Travel in a comfortable transfer from your hotel to the base of Uluru, an impressive sandstone rock formation. Upon arrival at the Segway base area, you'll be led by your fully qualified and knowledgeable guide into the iconic Mutitjulu Waterhole to explore its sights and sounds. This is one of Uluru's lesser-known hidden gems. You will also be taken to see some authentic Aboriginal rock art art. Your guide will provide you with Segway training, giving you a chance to take part in a short safety briefing and have a practice ride of your Segway. Afterward, you'll be ready for your guided tour of magical Uluru (the native name of Ayers Rock). You will quietly and effortlessly cruise a quarter of this enormous rock's base on your Segway. Take in all the highlights of the rock, and learn about local Anangu culture, flora, fauna, geology and the European history of the area from the knowledgeable guides. After exploring by Segway we'll travel around Uluru by bus to explore more caves and learn more about local culture on the Mala Walk and Kantju gorge. After pick up from Ayers Rock Resort, join your guide to explore the most profound and culturally significant monolith in Australia. The tour will travel through the outback landscapes to the entrance of the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From this point, it is only a matter of minutes before the spectre of Uluru rises from the sand dunes to demonstrate its enormity and presence in this country. Your first step allows you a photographic opportunity of this amazing icon. With Uluru looming in front of you, journey toward the base. Walk with your guide to a place of tranquillity. The closer you wander the more you surrender to the realization of the sheer size of this monolith. As you drive around the base, your guide will take you to the entrance of Mutitjulu Waterhole, a semi-permanent watercourse nestled in the contours of Uluru. Here you will learn the Creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python) as well as a number of other stories associated with other prominent Tjukurpa (dreaming) stories. You will see the rock art of the ancients and learn how Uluru was, and still is, a significant location for teaching young Aboriginal people. You will then adjourn to the new Talinguru Nyakunytjaku viewing area for sunset where you will observe an uninterrupted view of Uluru with Kata Tjuta in the background. See the colours of the rock and sky change before your eyes. Enjoy some sparkling wine and light, delicious refreshments. Your guide will then return you to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort.

Take a gentle but rocky track into a world of rare plant species and evergreen shrubs known as Spearwood. Learn about local flora and fauna, and the geology of this amazing formation. Hop back onboard the bus for the comfortable ride back to your meeting point in Yulara. 

Sit back and relax as you travel into the amazing Uluru National Park. When you arrive at the Uluru Sunset viewing platform, be greeted by a selection of Australian wines and a cheese board as you begin to absorb the beauty of your surroundings. Find your ideal spot, and then just sit back and relax as you watch the sun disappear behind the horizon and change the colors of the rocks in a million splendid ways. After sunset, you will be transferred to an exclusive barbecue site. The site is located far enough away from the resort lights to provide a clear view of the stars in the southern sky. Relax in the company of friends and fellow travelers on beautiful white tablecloths, enjoying sparkling wine. Dine on an Australian gourmet barbecue menu of steak, kangaroo meat, lamb sausages, chicken skewers, salads, and a tasty dessert. All accompanied by a selection of red and white wines, beer, and soft drinks.  After dinner, tea, coffee, and dessert will be served and your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky, describing and pointing out some of the visible constellations with the assistance of a high beam spotlight. Depart Ayers Rock Resort and journey into the sacred world of the Aboriginal peoples of Australia on a drive around the base of Uluru in a comfortable bus. Get explanations about the extraordinary site from your driver/guide, and hear about the numerous sacred sites found there. Continue to the Kuniya Walk, where your driver/guide will escort you to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole.  See Aboriginal rock paintings, and learn more about the area as you are shown some of the native flora and given details of both the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. Next, go to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and learn about Aboriginal culture. Look at fine examples of Aboriginal arts and crafts, and then journey back to the rock in time to watch the sunset from the viewing area.  Marvel at the striking color changes on the rock as you enjoy nibbles and a complimentary glass of wine.

You will depart the resort late afternoon: sit back and relax as you travel into the amazing Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park. Your driver guide will provide expert commentary while you enjoy the amazing surroundings and incredible sight of Uluru in the distance. This fascinating icon stands 348 metres high, although most of its mass is below ground level. You’ll be overwhelmed by its incredible size, presence and inherent spirituality.  Enjoy sparkling wine and nibbles while you begin to absorb the enormity and beauty of your surroundings. You can just relax or stroll around the Sunset Viewing Area to discover your own personal space to watch the amazing Uluru sunset.  Don’t forget to take a photo every few minutes to capture the famous colour change. Have your driver guide take a photo of you with Uluru in the background – although they say the memory will stay with you forever! Return to the resort after sunset and in time for a dinner booking.

Your guide will meet you at the entrance of your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort, from where you will travel through the landscape to the entrance of Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. From there is it a 40-kilometre journey through the desert landscape to the mighty rock formation. On arrival at the viewing area, walk to the best vantage point to see the 36 domes that comprise this spiritual place while watching the sun's morning glow as the desert comes alive. Make your way to the western side of Kata Tjuta where you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy an outback picnic breakfast. As you approach the entrance to Walpa Gorge, named for the wind (Walpa) that whistles between the massive domes that shape Kata Tjuta, the result of aeons of weathering and continual upheaval, your guide will share the significance of this sacred ceremonial site. Take a stroll between these mighty conglomerate rock walls as your guide explains how the environment and the geology have evolved over millions of years. Your guide will return you to your accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort at the end of the tour.
