Depart Zagreb and journey to the village of Rastoke and enjoy a coffee break at the gateway to the amazing Plitvice Lakes area. Get a glimpse at some of the small waterfalls, well-preserved mills and traditional houses that line the banks of the Slunjčica River

Arrive at Plitvice Lakes National Park and follow your knowledgeable guide to discover the 16 terraced lakes formed by natural travertine dams. Learn how the lakes can change color throughout the day, depending on the angle of the sun’s rays and the mineral makeup of the water.

Walk through the park on the guided sightseeing tour before your guide takes you to a local restaurant for an optional lunch.

Taste the typical dishes of the region, and feel free to ask your guide for recommendations for food, drinks or even souvenirs. After lunch, sit back in comfort on the pleasant drive back to Zagreb.

You pay quite a bit of money for it, but you DEFINITELY get your money's worth. The Plitvice Lakes, and indeed the whole nature park is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. If you put someone there and ask where they think they are, they would probably say Asia. And all this was also enriched with a fantastic guide. Super nice, enthusiastic and informative

We were with a large group, but the enthusiastic and observant guide ensured that it was a very relaxed day with many beautiful impressions of nature. It is truly a beautiful natural park. We took the boat across the water, walked around the winding wooden paths between the falls and ended at the top of the canyon with a nice view.

We started on time from Zagreb. Our crew (driver and guide) were professional and helpful keeping us on time and enjoying our trip. Our trip focused only on the lakes (as the name says) but there is so much more Plitvice has to offer. We reached back at Zagreb an hour earlier than planned. I personally wished we spent that time enjoying the park a little bit longer. Though I could see most of my fellow travellers already exhausted from the exploration. Overall, highly recommended activity!
