Full description

Explore Zakopane on a guided tour including round-trip transportation from Krakow. Experience the healing waters of the thermal pools in Białka Tatrzańska, ride a cable car to the top of Gubałówka Mountain, and enjoy a cheese and alcohol tasting.

Start with a pickup from your hotel, apartment, or another place of your choice in Krakow. From there the duration of the trip from Krakow to Zakopane is approximately 2 hours. About 20 minutes from Zakopane lies the town of Chochołów.

Chochołów is famous for its wooden houses which look almost identical. Settlers have traditionally washed the wooden walls of buildings with soap, which happens twice a year. Thanks to this cleaning, the buildings that are many years old look like new. In the vicinity of Chochołów, there are places where highlanders produce sheep's cheese traditional to this region of Poland. This cheese is called "Oscypek," and as part of your trip, learn about its production history while tasting it. Arrive in Zakopane, the capital of the Polish mountains. Each year, this place attracts many tourists who want to experience the unique style of Górlaskie culture, which is expressed through architecture, food, music, style of speech, and clothing.

In the town center lies Krupówki Street. Enjoy time for independent exploration and lunch (not included). This street is the market square of Zakopane, where you can find souvenir shops and many restaurants that serve local food. Zakopane also boasts cable car access. Hop on a cable car with included tickets and take in views of the Polish Tatra Mountains from the top of Gubałówka Mountain.

After exploring Zakopane and the surrounding area, your driver will take you to the Bania Thermal Pools in Białka Tatrzańska. Once there, relax and feel the healing properties of thermal water.

The admission ticket to the Bania Thermal Pools includes themed areas for both children and adults so that everyone can enjoy their time equally. After your visit, your driver will take you to your drop-off location in Krakow.

This was an amazing experience, full of fun, education and relaxation! The journey is long so prepare for discomfort, as the only thing I can say I didn’t love was being cramped in the van for around 5 hours. The cheese tasting and cherry vodka shots were so fun whilst the Zakopane mountains were beautiful! We were given enough time to explore, eat and my friend and I even got such a fun caricature drawing of us which was my favourite souvenir! The top of the mountains were stunning and the food was traditional polish, with amazing sausages and thick hot chocolate! Only thing here was having to pay for toilets.. so maybe go before or hang on until the baths! The baths were definitely the highlight - so relaxing, with a sauna and bar in the middle of the water; it also has water slides which were so fun! Being picked up/dropped off from and to hotel was a massive bonus (they were very punctual) and a shoutout to our guide Joanna who was so warm, charismatic and fun! 100% recommend!

Our driver Daniel picked us up from our hotel at the specified time, we drove to a town outside of Zakopane to see wooden houses and then went on to taste cherry vodka and smoked cheese. Daniel was fantastic and the perfect balance of being informative and also allowing us to have free time. We then drove to Zakopane and had 2 and a half hours of free time and were given our cable car tickets to go up to the mountains and look around. Then we drove 30 mins to the thermal baths which were amazing and the highlight of the trip, we had close to 3 hours there which was perfect. I would highly recommend this tour, really well organised and great value for money. We were picked up at 8:40 and got back to our hotel around 20:20 so it was a full day!
