What a terrific day! Our guide Armin picked us up right at our hotel. He gave us history and info during the drive. It was very snowy but we were still able to take the cable car up to the top. We got pix with the cross/highest point in Germany and had a coffee in one of the cafes. We really didn't mind that we couldn't see much because the snowy mountains were still fun! They closed the cable car due to winds as soon as we got to the top so we took the cog train down. Armin took us into Garmisch & Partenkirchen to shop and see the 1936 Olympic stadium.
Mario was a wonderful and informative guide. We enjoyed meeting and socializing with other passengers. A little warning about the price of the lift and train tickets would be a good idea. I was not expecting 48 euros a ticket. It was worth it though.
Armin, our guide, was fantastic and a really enthusiastic guide. The mountain was incredible and the views breathe taking. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour and this turned out to be the highlight of our trip to Germany. Thanks so much.
The scenery is amazing, yet everything is quite accesible. Sleighing in the summer was a treat! Our guide was kind and accomodating and we enjoyed the day without any rush
The day turned out to be cloudy but we still enjoyed the exotic scenery and temperatures. Many thanks to Mario who was a helpful and patient guide. Highly recommended.
