The tour begins with departure from Strasbourg bus station and heads to the first stop of the day, historical Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle. Upon arrival, admire the building’s architecture, learn about the people who once lived here, and marvel at the castle's stunning views across the Black Forest. After the castle, the open-top bus follows the famous Alsace Wine Route, making a stop at one of the region's most well-preserved medieval villages along the way, Riquewihr. Experience immersive environments, informative films, 3D projections, tastings and more on this interactive tour of the Colmar chocolate museum.  The journey begins in a tropical forest where you will meet a small monkey eating cocoa pods, and learn about the harvesting the cocoa trees. Leaving the forest, you enter an Aztec temple that reveals the serpent god Quetzalcoatl, who, according to the legend, introduced cocoa on earth. Entering the next room, the floor creaks, the lamps stir, the windows reveal an azure sea ... Then, in the virtual demonstration, meet 3 chocolatiers who will present their recipes and all the tricks they use to make their perfect chocolates.

Try your hand at creating a tasty and beautiful chocolate treat with a Chocolate making workshop. Spend 45 minutes with a chocolatier and learn how to decorate your very own chocolate bar. Choose the shape and design of your chocolate. Layer your chocolate with toppings that such as orange stripes, marshmallows, hazelnut cubes, and mini-tablets. Take home your 250 to 300 g of chocolate. That is if you can resist eating it on the spot. Visit Le Musée Gourmand du Chocolat Choco-Story and enjoy 2 floors of exhibits which chronicle the history of chocolate, its origins in South America today. See a virtual demonstration performed by 3 chocolatier, and enjoy a chocolate tasting. Kids will delight in the engaging and chocolatey displays.

Your 3-country adventure begins with pickup from your accommodation in Colmar. You’ll depart Strasbourg in the morning and make your first stop on this day-long tour in Colmar.
