During this tour. you will see 2 different winery styles. First, discover a traditional winery with an authentic cellar and typical architecture of Saint Emilion, producing a traditional style of wine for the region. The second winery is a forward-looking one with modern cellar on the cutting edge of technology. Discover how the winemakers use cutting-edge technology and viticulture techniques to perfect the winemaking process and produce a different, innovate style of wine. Learn all about the winemaking process from the vines, the varietals, the aging, and everything around it. The visit will be followed by the tasting of 3 Saint Emilion Grand Cru wines, from the different estates with an introduction to wine tasting technics.

Discover Saint-Emilion, its wines, and its history on a guided tour from Bordeaux. Visit a historic château and try 3 different high-quality wines. Meet in central Bordeaux and travel by van to the Saint Emilion wine region. First, visit the village of Saint-Emilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See its historical monuments on a short guided tour. Next, you will visit a castle and enjoy a tasting of 3 wines. Learn more about the specificities of this appellation, including the grape varieties and winemaking techniques used to create these unique wines.

Take a scenic drive to the beautiful wine region of Saint-Emilion on the right bank of the Dordogne River and tour this World Heritage Site. Experience the intimacy of the private chateau, learn the secrets of wine production, discover the vat room & cellar and taste some of the finest wines. Depart Bordeaux in the afternoon and visit a "Great Classified Growth" (Grand Cru Classé) wine estate overlooking the Saint-Emilion vineyards. Hear about the wine-making process and reward yourself with an aperitif served with quality fresh bread and cheese.   Learn the steps of proper wine tasting at a tasting class. Train your nose to identify wine aromas before enjoying some fine wines. Then, take a guided tour of the medieval village of Saint-Emilion in the early evening, and discover why it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Bordeaux for a drop-off at the end of the tour.

The second part of the afternoon includes a visit to a wine estate and a tasting of two wines. On the way back to Bordeaux your guide can answer any questions or give advice. Depart from the city center of Bordeaux aboard a van to discover Saint-Emilion, its wines, and its history. Visit 3 wineries and relax with a picnic at a Château. First, learn about the history of Saint-Emilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its historical monuments. Discover the secrets of this medieval town and its role as the birthplace of Bordeaux viticulture. At noon, enjoy a tasting of 3 wines at a Château winery. Indulge in a picnic from an artisanal and traditional caterer, who provides fresh, local products presented in jars, as well as charcuterie from the Basque Country, and cheese accompanied by a glass of wine. Afterward, visit a second Château winery and enjoy a tasting of 2 wines. Learn more about the specificities of this appellation, including the grape varieties and the winemaking techniques used to create these unique wines. To finish the day, go to last Château for a final tasting of 3 wines.

Take a tour of the family-run Château Haute-Nauve in Saint-Émilion with a member of the family, Marie-Anne or Florent ( Mother and Son). Walk through the vineyards and learn about the production of French wine from the makers, visit the wine cellars, and finish the experience with a tasting of four wines from the premises. Start with a tour of the vineyard, where you'll hear about the family ( 4th generation ) history of the estate, and the specificities and varieties of the Saint-Émilion wine appellation. See various plots of vines and learn about how work on the vineyard changes throughout the year. Amongst other sights, you'll spot a wind turbine and a bottle of wine 6 meters tall. Hear how the Château tackles challenges like crop frost, prioritizes sustainability and diversification, and develops new wine varieties. Next, visit the vinification cellar to learn about the entire production process, including fermentation, pumping, and pressing. The tour ends in the barrel cellar, where you'll see the methods used for aging wine. Finish with a guided tasting of four wines from the Château, including two with Grand Cru appellations.

Take a half-day tour to the charming village of St. Emilion, and sample a selection of wines. The history of the village goes back to medieval times, and the whole jurisdiction is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its natural landscape. Upon arrival in the village, embark on a guided walking tour. Explore the charming lanes, Romanesque churches, and ruins that stretch along the steep and narrow laneways. It was the Romans that introduced wine making to the village as far back as the 2nd century. The village was named after the monk Émilian, a traveling confessor, who settled in a hermitage carved into the rock in the 8th-Century. Follow your guide for a walking tour of the village to discover all the main attractions.  Then, enjoy a visit and wine tasting session in a Classified Growth Chateau of the Saint Emilion wine region. During the visit, you will learn all there is to know about the estate as well as the techniques used to produce this world-famous wine. From here return to Bordeaux.

In the beginning of the afternoon and after an-hour drive to go to the left bank, enjoy a visit and a tasting of 3 wines in a family running winery from the famous Médoc area (especially the Margaux appellation). Then, stop by the famous Château Margaux and take photos before heading to a third winery (classified in 1855, the Napoleon classification) where a commented wine tasting is waiting for you. Finish your tour with a new perspective on the art of winemaking.
