The walking tour itself was excellent. Getting it going was not. They send you a QR code in one of several emails. I assumed there was a place to scan the code somehow at the meeting spot. The spot was an exact location but it would have helped if they had said just go there and you’ll be able to start the tour. It wasn’t clear and I list over an hour wondering around asking people if they knew anything. I had to call customer service and it was another 20-30 minutes to get a response. He was very good and I finally understood what to do. It ended well, but NOT sending a QR code would help, as well as a better and simpler instruction of where and exactly how to start would be beneficial. I enjoyed it very much.

You have to fumble a little in the phone, downloading the app, repatriating the visit to it, it took us a little time... But once we were able to start, it was very nice! As long as you activate the GPS of your smartphone, the app detects when you arrive at the next remarkable point and starts the explanations on its own (you can also manage yourself, it is not an obligation). Please note: of course, this does not replace a real tourist guide! For us, nothing beats the explanations of a real person, with whom we can interact and who can answer questions. As it happened, we had limited time, in a particular time slot, so this was a really good alternative

This was a good way to get to know Fourviere hill - the tour takes you through the main sites and also through others you would never discover on your own. I also did the Lyon old town and silk dristrict tours and they were great to navigate the traboules you may otherwise miss.
